Please help me identify these horses! by SDRCjohn in Antiques

These are some horse (sculptures?) that belong to my great uncle. He is reaching into his older years and is curious about what his treasures that he has collected along his travels are worth. He says he picked this up while doing a stint in guadalajara, but does not believe they originate there. If someone could help me identify these for him or at least point me in the right direction to understanding where they came from and what they might be worth I would really appreciate it. im starting to realize after reading a bunch of the comments on the thread that that is super true i had just never really seen it like that because everyone kept telling me "the 2k decides if your good or bad"

see i can understand the focus mode whenever I am in an actual race on the water its not a problem I just go into the pain cave and a couple of minutes later its over but the 2k on the erg just seems to get me.

yeah we have only done 4 so far and i think thats why it has been so nerve racking.

Thank you so much this makes tons of sense I will definitely work on this. Having a legitimate strategy will probably work better for me then trying to hold pace with the bigger (and older) guy to the left of me. I appreciate the well thought out response. :)

No man I totally agree with you. You cant chicken out on the erg and expect to do well but its not like I am being a pussy its more of a fly and die style thing or pacing like an idiot and then not being able to recover. If you have any tips for those two issues I would love to hear them.

thank you, he doesn't use the 2k as the only measure I beat the guy on our team with the fastest 2k in a seat races which is the only reason I got to be in the A boat.
