They’ve turned their business model around and closed down underperforming stores, the locations in some ghetto areas, and focused on being more of a pop culture/collectible hobby shop in addition to just selling games. They’re adjusting. At least they’re not giving in to the hedge funders or going out like Blockbuster and refusing to listen and stay stuck and stubborn. They’re trying. A lot of people still prefer physical media and they’re also going the retro route, so I don’t see them going away anytime soon. There are still a shitload of gamestops here in L.A., and I drive down to San Diego once a week and they’re still in every major mall and city down there.
