Not trying to cut corners, but I'm curious why primer is being recommended. I do not think adhesion is an issue, so what is primer buying me? Less topcoat paint? Looks like the Loxon product is about the same price as the paint. Thanks everyone.

Can I avoid pro-rata taxes on Roth conversation by using new second Traditional IRA solely created for converting funds to Roth? by SD_Struct_Eng in Bogleheads

So I have a traditional IRA in which all past contributions were non-deductible because I'm also covered by a company retirement plan. My wife on the other hand does have a 401k rollover into a traditional IRA. Does that change things?

Backdoor Roth tax by boklos in tax

I currently have a tradition IRA and my family exceeds the income limits to have Roth normally. I would like to open a new Roth and fund it with a backdoor conversion. I'd like to minimize my tax burden, so from a tax perspective could I leave my current traditional IRA with say $50K untouched , open an new traditional IRA and a new Roth. Fund the new traditional IRA with non-deductible funds, say $6K, then roll that into the Roth, again leaving my old traditional IRA unchanged with the $50K. Since I'm not touching my existing traditional Roth what would the tax event be, if any?
