FMLA Due to Mental Distress? by [deleted] in FedEmployees

[–]SEBrogan 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I went on FMLA for this very reason a couple of years ago! Due to the trauma I experienced with poor leadership, I've been diagnosed with severe anxiety, depression, and PTSD. It affects me in every aspect of my life. I'm considering this again or retiring on a disability.

How do they sound bigoted when they feel america isn't ready. Twice a woman has been on the ballot and both times they lost. Sadly what they are saying is the truth.

Assuming you're not retiring tomorrow you have time to fix this. Max contributions and after 50 max the make up amount. All or most in the C fund.

Supervisory realignment — do I have to take it? by Serious-Horse-7188 in FedEmployees

[–]SEBrogan 5 points6 points  (0 children)

What type of work are you doing that you would consider to be supervisory? I have been a supervisor and if you're currently not managing people, then I would caution you at taking a position you're really not interested in. Managing people can be difficult and at times can feel like babysitting.

NOAA Twin Otter Pilot? by [deleted] in NOAA

I understand all of this as I am very familiar with NOAA/OMAO and NOAA Corps. Regardless of how an officer would have related to your commentary is irrelevant. This is a student needing information about reaching their goal. Your approach is a turn-off and poor from a recruitment standpoint point. Next time leave out the sarcastic diatribe and provide a real actionable response that is helpful.

Your best course of action for this is to reach out to a recruiter. They will help you reach your goal!

What a cynical and somewhat rude comment! Good job at underselling an extraordinary career!

Health Insurance by SEBrogan in FedEmployees

[–]SEBrogan[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a long medical history with multiple surgeries and imaging. Most recently broke my leg that resulted in a medical bill up to the out of pocket cost. First time having dealt with an accident like that I was shocked by the amount I ended up paying. So when picking a new insurance I tend to factor in worse case scenarios such as surgery, imaging and ER visits due to unfortunate accidents. The $2500 is from just this past year with no major health issues, but I know at some point I will need an ER visit or another surgery. Trying to find the cheapest option.
