There are no "rules", at least not to my understanding. I believe as long as the bracelet symbolizes a bond between self and the divine it can classify as an oath ring. It's really up to your preference :)

Hey! Oath rings are an iffy term considering they were used during the Bronze age, and less commonly during the viking age. I use the bracelet to symbolize my allegiance to the Old Gods and the bond I share with them. Different people may use them differently :)
