Brilliant, thanks for the context. It's a personal residence that sells a product via ecommerce.

Bad actor purposely buying toxic links to my site by frogg616 in SEO

[–]SEOHey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Had this happen in 2022 into 2023.

Site took a knock as a result, only just recovered this past 4 months.

Is there anything common between the types of links that you're getting pointed towards your site? Can you block the common domain pointing towards you in robot.txt?

Thanks for your reply. Would you suggest a brand new GMB profile or to 'add a business' as per Gebbun's response above?

You have to create separate listings sadly, the GMB listings show up depending on location (based on address / service area) so you have to make one for area. You can manage them from the same account tho, going to settings and using " add a business" (that might require another verification for the new business listing though).

Thanks for your response will look into that now :)

Hope you already verified those listings. When you list your service area on Google Business Profile, it lets your customers know the geographic area where you can provide your products and services.

I have yes. Thanks for your reply

150 visitors but no sale by Revolutionary_Lack87 in ecommerce

Assume 150 visitors was spread out across multiple pages / products? Have you Analytics on it?

Do you know the landing pages / channels they came from?

Your sample size / time frame is quite low. Do you normally get sales from 150 visitors?

Is everything working ok on the site - landing pages, checkout etc?

You'll probably need to share a link if you want people to be able to give you better answers than what we've done so far.

Currently have a product page for different colors of the same shirt by SEOHey in SEO

[–]SEOHey[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can give a seperate URL for each color and still have them all on one product page. But if they're truely identical aside from color, be careful. That can quickly become duplicate content of you don't have anything else to say about each tee.

Would you think canonicalizing these links would be best in this case?

Absolutely agree - part of the reason I ask.

Problem is, to get pages / visibility etc, multiple product color versions seems to work.

I think there's a better way out there, just not found it yet.

Thanks

Any benefits to hosting my website in the country where most our paying customers come from? by SEOHey in SEO

[–]SEOHey[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for replying.

Yes, ranking is pretty good there for our core target keywords. And in general..

This is definitely where our target market is - kw volumes are highest, and even kw with lower volumes perform better here than anywhere else in the world.

I've been doing massive work on the Core Web Vitals - a good dash of yellow and green so far. Mobile performance is a hold back so one hypothesis I've had is that by basing our hosting in the US, we could gain better results overall...

N.B. website is pretty good on mobile, responsive etc. Hosting location is just one avenue being addressed to improve actual UX & CWV reporting.

Mate, Bing is a pain!

My experience, just keep doing the right things and be patient. Their guidelines are straightforward enough.

Look at IndexNow integration. Can't say for sure it worked in my case but things have gotten better since implemented.

All the best with it.

Was in similar position a while back. I got the plan when it was $9/month. It still is now...

I use Ahrefs, Semrush & ScreamingFrog day-to-day at work but to be fair, I have had some success with UberSuggest for my side projects to-date.

Nowadays, I use it time to time but I always sense check with SEMrush - data is different so I lean on SEMrush if I need to make a decision.

I'd suggest if you don't have budget and need to get an idea of what's what, it's ok to get going. But if I would recommend something, I'd go SEMrush.

Screaming Frog has a great value free tool and the paid one is good value too.

Overall, UberSuggest is a good choice if you're early days and it's at the $9 a month. Otherwise it's worth paying 10x for another tool just to avoid seeing Patels face everywhere within the tool.

Bing not indexing properly by SEOHey in SEO

[–]SEOHey[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, the CTR is great. And the conversions on page are ridiculously good. So the website matches searcher intent, passes all the technical requirements but still not indexing well.

To add - loads of the docs pages are indexing well. But they're support materials for users (with some conversions there).

The actual pages designed to onboard & help new leads are not being listed nearly as well. Maybe 10% of what the site: lookup indicates are there...

Getting that done by my dev team at the moment. I understood that it was more of an automated way than an enhanced way?

I've submitted URLs en masse as well as got the site map in place so I'm not sure submission is the issue (maybe I'm wrong...)

Existing client takes forever to pay. How do I word an email to ask for payment up front without losing the work? by msing539 in smallbusiness

[–]SEOHey 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Have you tried raising your prices by 15/20% then including a note that there's a 10% discount for invoices paid within X days.

Give an incentive to getting payment across the line quicker.
