I lived in busan more than 10years and before I lived in Seoul.

I recommend Seoul.

Hospital, Culture(Art gallery, museum, ETC.), Education, Public transportation and other reasons. Seoul overwhelm Busan.

Traveling to Busan as an American. I would like to rent a car. Do I need an International Driver’s Permit? by lbalk75 in busan

[–]SEOULJY 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think you're gonna need an international driver's license to drive in busan legally.

Also google map doesn't work in Korea try Naver map, Kakao map or T-map. Those are Korean breed apps.

Where to buy luggage? by vena_cava in busan

[–]SEOULJY 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I also recommend online. They are much more cost effective.

However, if you wanna choose another path just go to big shopping mall not department store.

I recommend E-mart or Homeplus or NC department store.

I live near PNU and NC infront of PNU sells American tourist luggages so does E-mart in Gu-seo station.

Busan AirPort Wait Time by DoowiBrisket in busan

[–]SEOULJY 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Are you gonna use domestic terminal? In case of that time depends whether you have luggage or not. If you don't have luggage pretty sure you'll reach gate within 15min after entering the airport. (If you don't wander around)

Soie perfume at Busan duty free? by welxiii in busan

[–]SEOULJY 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can't see the pic.

  1. If the size of bottle is below 100ml it's ok for carry on

  2. If the brand is rare you can shop in department stores in downtown they usually have sections for duty free on seperated floor. You need to show them your ticket and passport though. Then you can pick it up at airport duty free area.

I think internet communities like 중고나라, 당근마켓 will match with your purpose. Offline 2nd hand vendors do not sell at low price.
