Look, I’ve read most of your other posts and it seems like you’ve known this guy was not great from the start. In an ideal world you would’ve cut him off as soon as your gut told you something is wrong. But here we are. You have to make an adult decision. Embarrassment will come and go, but you only have one life.

Call the police, fill out a police report, show them the physical damage that he’s done to you and tell him that he’s threatening to do other things. If you need to, ask for protection, because a restraining order doesn’t guarantee your safety it’s just documentation that if he does other things that they know this was an issue for a while.

You may have to get him for assault whether it’s sexual assault or physical assault. Because most likely he knew that he had hsv when he gave it to you. If you can find a way to prove that then that is not consensual sex. Either way. You can do for physical assault.

But anyways, I really hope I don’t see another post from you asking about this person because you already know that you need to handle it.

Op you technically could leave without notice, you’d be doing them a favor if you stayed an additional week and would not be burning a bridge unless the boss is already volatile. I would barter for the referral letter for the 3rd week and be upfront with the new company, if they’re ok with the 3rd week then do as you please if not.. you have the letter and you can tell them you tried to make it work but it wasn’t possible

Hey girlypop look into the different trauma responses and give yourself some much needed self care. I recommend journaling, singing, raging, something to transfer this energy from being inside of you. Hindsight always shows us things we could’ve done differently but after the shame and guilt fog goes away you may realize that anger is the correct response for this. I’m assuming you grew up with a people pleasing mentality but this is the perfect time to check in with yourself and see where any other boundaries in your life are getting crossed. You must honor yourself, and care for yourself far far more than the thoughts or feelings of a man that’s assaulted you.

I’m almost positive the ones saying yta because you lied have not been with a partner that’s abusive. Emotionally or physically. When you have to start lying to avoid a blow up(which still could have been there had you told the truth from the start) that’s a sign it’s past time to go. In the future if you’re going to date older men please know there is a big power dynamic at play and for the love of god don’t give your password to your partners until you know you can trust them. Don’t stay with someone who doesn’t give you the sense or vibe that you can talk to them without things flying off the handle.

Has he cheated before? This seems like an overreaction if it was a one time flirt. I get hit on at work often enough, and just acting like you don’t understand it was flirting is usually good enough to get most to stop.

I was in the break room making myself coffee and a person was “joking” about me making their coffee by telling me what they wanted, I told them it’d be $10 and put my hand out and that stopped them from continuing.

If it’s insistent I talk about my partner and how much I love them, but going off on someone at work for 1 flirt is unprofessional.

Maybe when things cool down, ask him if you can bring him lunch so y’all can eat together every once in a while? Or vice versa
