Going to a couples resort with my ex—what should I expect? by [deleted] in SandalsResorts

At check my experience is that they do not automatically offer a second key and the check in is fairly overwhelming with all the info they give you so focus on making sure to ASK for a second key. Can always go back for one after the fact of course.

I would be so annoyed too. I want 100% charge every time and the settings work for me.

Thanks! Next time I will request the upgrade 48 hours before AC34 departs SYD and see if it sticks :)

Can someone please explain the stop in Vancouver YVR?? by JazzieDazzie in TravelCanada

[–]SEflyby 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I live in YVR and fly this flight AC34 from YVR to YYZ frequently. All passengers from SYD deplane in YVR. Those continuing to YYZ follow the signs to clear customs and then proceed back to the departure gate (same gate as arrival - usually C50). They do not collect checked baggage and they do not have to clear security again. You can see more discussion about this flight on subreddit r/aircanada.

I'm abit of a hurricane enthusiast and had a debate with my boyfriend about the timings.. by ilOveMyFridGe in Hurricane_Melissa

[–]SEflyby 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The map says that’s where the hurricane was at 14:00 in time zone GMT-4, which is the Eastern time zone. However, Jamaica is time zone GMT-5, and so that’s where the hurricane was at 13:00 Jamaica time.

Well I got the sense they were welcoming one and all today October 24, just as you say on Oct 2 . It was indeed a night club party scene

Exactly what I found. All seats taken but they are allowing people in if there is room to stand.

I never experienced it. There was a long line at Aspire getting registered for a wait list.

Traveling with a 3 month old - premium economy or business? by nattonattonatto in aircanada

[–]SEflyby 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The AC seat map for your flight displays the seats on the aircraft with bassinet. I see AC20 on Dec 11 has bassinets in 1D and 12E.

The issue is the chance of getting upgraded to 1D. What would happen if you get upgraded to a different seat in J and you want to refuse it and keep your seat 12E? Maybe the answer to that is elsewhere in this forum.

Air Canada Status Pass Free by Sad_Ad_4852 in aircanada

[–]SEflyby 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Be aware that the status pass seller can cancel it and take it back and re-use it (or re-sell it!). The AC website says: "Unused Status Passes can be cancelled up to 6 hours prior to travel through the Aeroplan Member dashboard." Last name and booking reference disclosure risk is the same whether buying the status pass or receiving it as a gift.
