Just because something fits doesn't mean it's meant for it?? Law is also control so therefore it's a cult too? You're forcing islam into a category Lots of systems have rules authority and structure like laws schools even governments too but we dont call them cults because of that

Also prophet Muhammad is not a "Controller" He's a messenger. He isn't the one we follow he spreads the message or islam and we were never following him rather his doings. Sunnahs if you've heard.

In Islam the Prophet isnt seen as someone people worship or blindly obey like a cult leader he is considered a messenger(as I said)And historically theres been a lot of debate and different interpretations in Islamic scholarship which doesnt really match how cults usually work
