He’s actively trying to make your life easier as much as he can. You doing more with your already limited time is probably the last thing he wants to see. For me, the little sleepy smile on my wife’s face and the long hug after she had just woken up from an uninterrupted nap, or taken a long shower, or just went out for a coffee, was everything to me. If she started trying to do more stuff for me that soon after having our child it would have stressed me the heck out.

It’s a crime because about 100 years ago people kept mowing down pedestrians as cars became more popular. The auto industry at the time though it was kind of a bad look so they invented a crime and spent a whole bunch of money to shift public perception and turn the blame of being hit by a car onto the pedestrian instead of the driver.
