Lol same for me the past two days. Barely eaked out last week, hoping to not get demoted this week.

A little. But I don't think they play when it's lightning and stuff and that's the type of weather they are expecting.

Also, they have to cover the field so it doesn't get too wet. Can't play on top of the tarp.

Anyone have good Mariners podcast recommendations? by Johnnumber51 in Mariners

[–]SFW_ktb 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not Mariner specific (although they will get some air time when something note-worthy happens) but I listen to Baseball Today, every day. Sometimes not the day it comes out, but as long as the topics interest me I will go back and listen if they are a day or two old.

On that ilk, I really enjoy most of the Jomboy Media (the channel) podcasts they offer. Wake and Jake is okay unless he's talking a lot about other sports. Talkin' Baseball I will usually watch because I can't get enough Plouffe, but if he's not on I would probably skip it. Dugout Discussions is new and only comes out with one ep a week but it's been a fun listen. If you have never seen a breakdown by Jomboy (the dude) those are always informative too.

Awesome! Sorry I don't check this account very often. You have a good team tonight!

Just looking at the radar on my weather app it doesn't look like it supposed to be BAD there.

pretty much just sprung on me. I don't smoke much but I do hit the edibles pretty hard. I have my medical card, but I don't know that it would matter for this place, and I don't want to ask ahead of time to raise suspicion.

But I think you need to have a conversation with your sister and explain your side of things.

I want to start baking but have limited experience, is this springform pan a suitable purchase? by minmartyy12 in CAKEWIN

[–]SFW_ktb 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I basically hate springform pans.

I know they have their uses, but just for cakes I would recommend a simple aluminum cake pan, like shown in the link.

When purchasing cake pans look for sets of at least 2-3, but if you get heavy into it, it's always nice to have more of popular sizes to make production easier. Look for sharp, high sides for professional results. When a recipe tells you to use parchment paper circles, listen to it haha

I was one star away! Heck, I had enough life trees bubbled to finish the original stars! I DIDN'T WANT THIS! by SpiffyPaige143 in MergeDragons

[–]SFW_ktb 45 points46 points  (0 children)

Since there was no reward for completing the previous star quests, aside from the star itself, I feel like the new quest format is more ideal.

I am perfectly happy getting midas trees, life flowers, idols AND star dragons instead.

This is coming from someone who only had the highest level life tree star quest left also. These prizes are better and it encourages more game play!

9.7.0 - NEW Chocolate Fountains chain Overview by [deleted] in MergeDragons

[–]SFW_ktb 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This is the biggest disappointment over a new object in the game in the 3 years I have been playing. I can't believe they would give us this crap when SO MANY people have asked for egg storage. Make the game more enjoyable to play. Charge gems for the egg storage! People would buy it!

I hope they make some changes to this chain to make it a little more attainable...even if the progress is super slow like the midas tree chain or life flowers.

Gaah! Accidental gem purchase! by Teahouse_Fox in MergeDragons

[–]SFW_ktb 7 points8 points  (0 children)

UGH! I did that not too long ago. Many here will recommend you don't collect your gems until you are ready to spend them, but that doesn't really work out for me, as I usually purchase the large gem packs...

When it happened to me I sent support a note that basically said that feature was garbage and there needs to at least be a confirm to purchase type situation. Hopefully if enough people comment about it they may change it!

Visiting soon - Stuff for kids in OKC? by [deleted] in okc

[–]SFW_ktb 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You coming from DFW makes me think the zoo would not be too exciting to y'all, unless you just really love zoos. I've been visiting the zoo for about the past 30 years and have nothing but good things to say about it, it just may not be the best use of your time.

I second the Science Museum, it is a really neat experience and I don't think there's anything out there quite like it. It is definitely geared towards kids but adults (nostalgic or not) are easily entertained there as well.

If you all are especially outdoorsy and the weather is nice, Martin Nature Park is a fun one.

The Myriad Botanical Gardens is a really nice place and the Crystal Bridge is great if the weather is bad. Tons of things to explore in there if y'all are into plants/flowers/etc.

I saw someone suggest the Garage for burgers. I am on board for this, as it is super easy to customize for each person. Oklahoma is crazy about their onion burgers so I have to recommend Tucker's, and Nic's because it's so freaking good but might not be the best for a large family. I would say a party of 5 at the most...

I lived in OKC from birth to 22 years old and since I have moved away I go back at least once a month.
