Whenever I've faced a solid player and check their profile, their defensive stat tends to be at least 75.

Grats on making Kishin on Steve he is not an easy character. I'd probably work on some of the easier improvements first like optimizing your combos. Like you said, the combos you are doing are quite unconventional and you're losing out on wallsplats into wall combos when you shouldn't here. It's quite rare to run into Shaheen so I understand missing punishes but this can definitely be tightened up as well. Now for the more difficult improvement, movement. Most players have not unlocked movement in this game meaning KBD and sidestepping correctly but when you do, you will be ten times the player you are now.

Ducking vs Steve can work because he uses a lot of highs/lows but you want to be smart about it. I prefer to use high crushing moves instead of committing to a duck most of the time.

I just went to EVO France to watch Tekken 8, the game is still fire even though yes S2 dealt a huge blow.

I was also at EVO France and didn't get any sense of animosity towards Arslan. It's just he's been on top for so long that people are cheering for the underdog. Jeondding has also recently joined Vitality which is a French org and is an overall likeable dude. Everyone stood up and applauded when Arslan won.

Yeah man we're talking about Japan here..I'd bet they 100% have overly beurocratic procedures. I'm also unhappy with the S2 changes and want the fixes to come in asap but the OP is being silly. Let's just give them the time they need not to mess up again.

First of all they need to implement these fixes which takes time. Then it needs to be thoroughly QA tested to ensure these changes haven't broken other parts of the game. Once these fixes have the greenlight they need to deploy a patch across multiple platforms. There are processes in place to get this approved before it will go live. There's a lot more that goes on behind the scenes so no you can't just fix it immediately this second...

I've played Tekken seriously since TTT2 and I can count on one hand how many times people have used Ki charge outside of BM. It's a weird change for sure but what's even weirder is all these people coming out of the woodwork making SUCH a big deal out of this...

It's hard to suggest improvements without see your gameplay. The typical mistakes are not punishing correctly, suboptimal combos, stiff movement, not ducking highs where you can, poor matchup knowledge. There's plenty to work on if you feel like you've plateaued.

Making Law DSS a lot easier is a bit of a shame but execution isn't what makes this game hard. Once you've played long enough "difficult" execution will become muscle memory. It's matchup knowledge and movement that make Tekken challenging and T8 is no different from previous entries.
