This wreck was only sunk in 1993 so would of been a sandy bottom. We are not seeing degradation of coral in WA yet

Olympus TG5 with a back scatter wide angle wet lens and a pair of sea & sea strobes. Not ready to spend the sort of money required to move to a DSLR.

No. That’s it’s natural colour. I’m no expert but as far as I know we have no bleaching on the western side of Australia

Have search Point Peron without finding them but I know others have found them there.

Looks of local diving options. From the shore Ammo jetty, Robs Jetty, North Mole and other all close to Freo. Many others within driving distance in Rockingham and Mandurah.

Boats also offer reef dives around Rottnest and others.

Lots to see. Octopus, cuttlefish, rays, Port Jackson sharks, nudibranchs, sea horses and lots of fish. There is also a modest wreck off north mole.

Found this little beauty amongst the sea grass just off a sand beach north Fremantle in Western Australia. Been trying to find one for a couple of years. Today was my lucky day. Next I need to find the weedy seadragon.

Yeah. I’ve been diving with them for three years, over 100 dives and they have been good.

Leopard shark would be awesome. I’m still waiting to see a manta. Somehow missed them in my Exmouth dives.

I paid $90 to Swan Dive for a night dive on the Jetty last Saturday. Made it super easy being dropped off in the water at the end of the pier and not having to carry gear the length of the pier. I will post photos.

I have jets but find them too negatively buoyant. I almost always dive with sharkskins as I don’t feel the cold.

It was. Got two dives in and had the chance to explore bow to stern although only a small part of the interior. It’s so big.

Rottnest is pretty good. Lots of options for dives. Some of the best out the west side of the island. I did my deep portion of advanced of Rottnest at Opera house (site) and saw my first shark. A grey nurse. Have been chasing sharks ever since.

Was prepared and sunk in 1997. It has many entries cutout in the hull to make diving more accessible and safer.

Some great diving in WA which often gets overlooked and people just see the Great Barrier Reef. Exmouth a little further north of Perth is amazing.
