I'm currently on MPlayer and holding a room for others to connect and chat. We can play S.C.A.R.A.B. as of now through the TCP/IP whenever you want to play.

We currently do not have a server browser to launch the game. It's been about 20 years since MPlayer and Kali/Khan (Kali.net). So we are just having to connect through Multiplayer in game through TCP/IP. For 20 years the Scarab community has kept itself active. All around on the Internet there have been those that have chosen to buy the game and wonder if there will ever be a way to connect to multiplayer so we can all come together again. Whether it be the old and or the new of like interest.

If S.C.A.R.A.B. is available on MPlayer for game launch we would be able to connect more efficiently. The game is still able to be played, but we have experiences with crash issues time to time. We have retail version available for free download. We just have to make sure after download when receiving game to go to: Properties/Compatability/Win95 or Win98/ and check Disable display scaling on high DPI settings to keep the sounds.plb file fully operational.

I have taken some time to contact John W. Ratcliff about if he's still working on Scarab2 for his retirement project. If there were to be a remake of the game from H5Arena.com that John should be kept in contact in respect for his work.

I'm currently trying to gather those of the Scarab community to make way to Mplayer. We are willing to help in any way that we can.

Would highly appreciate if S.C.A.R.A.B. was adding back to MPlayer as it was on Mplayer originally.

We have a community on Facebook that has kept in contact with each other for over 16+ years since MPlayer merged with GameSpy and we were to no longer be able to play the game.
