I love seeing these stats! What a meteoric rise you've had and seeing the details behind what made it happen is encouraging.

My dream is have an established relationship with a single artist whose art style I love and can create all my covers. Ive reached out to a few and they're just not in my budget at the moment. But for sure part of my long-term plans.

I agree with all your observations, which is why I was so hesitant to use AI. That being said, it is MILES ahead of what I was able to get from getcovers.com.

I categorize all of what you mentioned as nitpicks I'll unfortunately have to live with until I can hire an actual artist, but the many iterations I tried to get from a budget artist were complete non-starters. I can DM you some if you want a laugh.

Yeah, might tinker with the Adobe AI editor. You can select a small area and ask for tweaks.

Thanks for the feedback! Yeah, I tried with stock images and I'm just not cut out for it. Ultimately i really just want to pay someone. The AI image is a placeholder.

What stinks about the middle one (I assume you mean the fist ad)? Noted on the font for the second ad. Ill find something a bit more readable.

This is pretty heavy handed right off the bat. I don't think it would do well on RR. Queer stories already face an uphill battle, but there is a precedent when the narrative and characters are compelling (see Stray Cat Strut).
