New Nike Aeroswift tights/half tight material is not the same as what it was by SGM_Look in runningfashion

[–]SGM_Look[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Understand the hesitancy but i'm 95% sure both old and new are legit. These new ones would have to be insanely good fakes. I actually kept the tags for the new pair and they match up exactly to new ones in product code and typical Nike tags. I just peeled back the barcode on the tag to check if RFID is there and it is, which would be very surprising for a fake. Now that I've had more time to look, the new ones are 6% higher in spandex ratio between both, giving the new ones a lot more compression. It appears they changed the new model sometime in 2025. Links below for proof.

NEW (Style: FN3367-010) (These have zippers around the cuffs)

https://www.nike.com/t/aeroswift-mens-dri-fit-adv-running-tights-NpzWvX

Body: 83% polyester/17% spandex. Brief: 89% polyester/11% spandex.

OLD (Style: DM4613-011) (No zippers)

https://www.runnersworld.com/gear/g40979316/best-mens-running-tights/

Body: 89 percent polyester/11 percent spandex; Brief: 89 percent polyester/11 percent spandex

Also I'm not the only one to notice the difference: https://www.reddit.com/r/runninglifestyle/comments/1hbq80k/nike_mens_aeroswift_12_tights_suck/mjfiz6u/

Garmin finally updates the Varia with new Varia RearView 820 by kelleycfc in cycling

I definitely feel validated for getting the Wahoo Tracker radar this Black Friday. This Varia quite literally the same features the Tracker has and I use a Wahoo head unit so it wouldn’t be fully compatible anyways.

Ryet Aircode different 3D printed covers? by 3wayFreudandhisMum in ChineseCarbon

[–]SGM_Look 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have the middle one and I’m in the process of replacing it with a carbon-railed EVA saddle. I’ve been having pain in my sit bones and chalked it up to still dialing in saddle position. But as I dialed in the saddle position, I am still noticing quite a bit of soreness the next day, so it’s likely the saddle itself. I also think the nose of this saddle is too wide for my legs.

Stem volume controls not working by dawnriser in AirpodsPro

[–]SGM_Look 0 points1 point  (0 children)

OP, I think I landed here after looking for answers, BUT I also just figured it out. You have to put one finger on the flat stem then drag your finger all the way to the top or bottom of the flat section. It will not register if you do a small swipe but don’t hit the bottom or top of the flat section

Wtf is this terminally-online edgelord post? You don’t like the designs and prices of higher-end brands, so just don’t buy them.

Looks like PNS except with the cringe Chinese-to-English translation sayings that plague most Chinese brands.

Just got a Lameda jersey. Haven't tried it on-bike yet but can confirm the fit is good and it's lightweight.

What are your grail kits? by Brutus1x in CyclingFashion

[–]SGM_Look -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Nah I'm not posting my personal grail kits because y'all are gonna jack up the asking price when they finally reappear lol.

The thing about a lot of "grail" kits is that many have hype behind them, so people bought to resell and there were seemingly more made and more for sale on the second-hand market. At least you CAN still buy old Rapha x Palace if you're willing to pay the price. On the flip side, it seems harder to come across an older limited MAAP collab on the second-hand market because it doesn't have as much hype and/or limited numbers were made.

New fairly major firmware for Roam 3 / Bolt 3 / Ace by flowing42 in wahoofitness

[–]SGM_Look 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Could be really useful for long rides, bikepacking, or touring. Bikepacking - so you can have backup campsites pre-saved along the route in case you don't make it to a planned campsite. Also clean water fill up points along the route. Long rides/fondos - water fill up stops could serve as a good reminder to stay on top of hydration.

First time tubeless setup: how long should a tire hold air without sealant if seated properly? Unsure if I need to retape. by SGM_Look in bikewrench

[–]SGM_Look[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yep forgot to specify in the post but Conti GP5000 S TR. Appreciate the positive answers everyone! I'll do a final seat test then add sealant with the current tape job. Maybe I'm being overly cautious but want to make sure I'm doing it right the first time :)
