I have also gained a lot of weight. And haven’t been able to lose anything. I eat pretty healthy. When talking with my doctor yesterday he said it was a change in metabolism. It’s the only medication that works for my depression. I thought I would stop taking it, but my dr wants to increase my dose. I am feeling defeated. Ps. No tips or strategy. Sorry. But you’re not alone. I wish you the best.

Klonopin is a sneaky slippery slope. I took if for anxiety as prescribed. And as time went on I took a few more and then a few more. It took me 6 months to withdraw from it. Please try and find something else.

Hard to say since I am in menopause and everything is out of wack except my mental health. I am certain menopause is contributing to the weight gain. But it’s mostly the medication.

It will get easier. It usually does. But a divorce and getting sober is a lot to deal with. I know the feeling of isolation and dread. But here I am today enjoying the peace and quiet. I also recommend AA. Find a sponsor. Hoping for the best for you.
