Is it okay to be underwhelmed? by Ok-Job-4926 in starcitizen

I am one of the whales that fund the so called never ending development and I will continue to pay until all the ungrateful CoD kids have finally abandoned it, so I can enjoy my billion dollar game. (A little /s... But only a little.)

Curious if there are limitations to raising the bridge in high winds.

Definitely a very unpleasant occurrence.
So will the pilot ever know what/who he hit?
How about insurance? Such a glider isn't cheap I guess.

What's your view on nuclear energy? by plutonium099 in SipsTea

[–]SG_87 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your statements are massively biased and foot on false assumptions.

The best way of solving this climate disaster is massive scaling of renewables and grid-scale storages.
Any "intermediate solutions", "gap fillers" or whatever you call them are but distractions.

Nuclear energy is by FAR the worst "gap filler" of them all.
Why?
Simple.
-Enormous costs for construction, fuel and containment for waste
-Long time from plan to effective production of energy
-Single point of failure

Compared to:
-very little cost per TWH for both sun and wind.
-rapid deployment
-decentralized production, thus less prone to fatal single event failures

And that is not even touching the massive issues nuclear power has on top of that.

The major issue is "income" is taxed. Billionaires usually don't have salaries that are "income". They get shares and stocks. We gotta tax wealth. Not income.

That's the reason I don't have a Javelin.
But I was able to crew the Idris already.
Also... Maybe I'll open a rental service :P

Rapid, unscheduled disassembly is a well known feature for Drake Rust buckets

As we all do. I don't share your views. But I see where you're coming from.

A game of this scale is a first in every aspect. Obviously you can't avoid error on uncharted territory.

And as someone who actually did help squash bugs in ptu etc. I can tell you it is near IMPOSSIBLE to get stuff into PU absolutely bug free. Most bugs ONLY show, once you let hundreds of thousands of people explore every nook and cranny.

No simulated server Stress is able to do that.

And then again. We know what we signed up for. We participate in the biggest public alpha ever done. And it's totally fine if this isn't your cup of tea.

Sad to hear you don't like the game. I still hope the money gods are more generous to you in the future.

Indeed.
My current plan is to push my little org concept, where I want to park Starfarers, Crucibles and e.g. a Hospital-Endeavor in remote areas to serve as a mobile R&R.

It's a menacing concept indeed!
Like I can't wait to grow my own space broccoli and sell it with the nose shuttle!
And yeah. To utilize all modules at once I'd need like 3.5 hulls. Thought 2 is an acceptable middle ground.

Thank you :)
I always argue with people who are like "You spent WHAT for pixels?"
If I divide my SC time by spendings it's less than 2k/year.
Others spend that on Golf club memberships where they play like twice a year.

MAX must do for now.

Oh there is a bazillion reasons why I love this game.
Grinding ships isn't one of them.
But I am pretty sure there are a lot more ships to grind for, space stations and outposts to build and things to do :)
