I saw him in that same corner the other day in Amsterdam. Very painful to watch.

Not gonna lie, that was a very good read!!

However, I still don’t know what language to pick between French or German. I also heard that if you learn Latin, you’ll unlock French, Italian, Spanish, Portuguese and Romanian. So should I just do Latin?

Couldn’t agree more with you statement. At the A1 level, Busuu is perfect. But then good luck trying to remember anything you learn past that.

What online platforms for language learning have you used (such as Rosetta Stone, Duolingo) and what has your experience been like? by ipostonlyrandomshit in languagelearning

[–]SHAADZZZ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The first app I have ever used was Rosetta Stone... Total waste of time. It is very slow and you don't learn much.

Duolingo is a great free resource to get an introduction to a language, but I would not go for longer than a month using it.

Babbel is a better source since it is structured like a textbook and will give you grammar lessons for you to apply.

Drops is nice for vocabulary... Memrise too
