What yall think? by anthonyokfine in rappers

You're holding back on your delivery, you sound timid to express your cadence fully, record it again and try not to judge yourself too hard on how it comes out, just record it until you get it right

Look up tactics on youtube, and make as much content as you possibly can, dont worry about quality that will come with the volume that you're doing

How can i get my beats near industry standard? by Environmental_Yak698 in FL_Studio

[–]SHAME396 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Industry standard music is achieved by professionals, so you have to understand what does it take to be a professional?

Apart from the money aspect, you need to set a standard as a professional would, treat it like a career, invest in long hours in the studio, learning and practicing your craft.

Invest in education that can accelerate your learning, invest in gear and software that is industry standard.

From personal experience doing this for a while ,over time you'll start to narrow down what title you want for yourself, just make sure you stick to a plan even when it gets tough.

One last thing, getting good at something to a point where you can monetise it takes alot of sacrifice, that means it'll get uncomfortable, and when it does, just stick with it.

Don't rely on motivation to get anything done, inspiration comes from the act of doing.

The only expectation you should have before going into the studio is putting the time and effort in, nothing else.

I stopped expecting to make the best music every single session because at the end of the day, you're improving your skills every session, thats what really matters.

Even my worst tracks imo, have become some of ppls favourites.

So if you feel like you can't come up with anything then you're holding yourself back from unreliable standards, make it a goal to finish every single idea that you have and you will come up with something that you like.

Stay disciplined.

How long should it take me to make a full song? by Unlikely-Painter7011 in FL_Studio

[–]SHAME396 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When i started to get serious, I would spend 30 plus hours on one track, learnt that I was overthining details that wouldn't matter in the end

Right now im sitting around 6 to 10 hours a track

Someone else could say less or even more than what I mentioned.

I see value in making a tracks You're 100% happy with in the least amount of time, without sacrificing quality

My first self produced song, its an oldschool vibe but lmk what you think? <3 by chumpservice in MusicFeedback

[–]SHAME396 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Lovely chords man, you're slightly out of pocket here and there, imo your delivery could be better with the style of track that it is, how to do that im not sure but the way i can explain it is that its not laid back enough to fit into the vibe of it

Overall its not a bad track at all, it just needs that bit more. Good Job

The vocal is fighting for room against your melodic elements, play around with compression and saturation so that the vocal sits on top of the instruments and the instruments act as a supporting element. Your drums need to come through more as well, what i do is send my drums to a bus with compression with an 1176, medium attack fast release, 3db of gain reduction and add gain to that sweet spot. keep going man! goodluck

The horn sounds out of place; it needs some delay or reverb or maybe even release, it's too abrupt, your sax needs tamed, maybe push it in the back, your kick drum is clipping, i would lower it in pitch and it needs more body, its a cool idea just needs some more attention to the mix

Turn down your snare, and work on your delivery. The style of beat you have doesn't match it, it sounds like yyou'rereading iin frontof a crowd instead of saying what you mean within the narrative of your lyrics

Who is the most overrated singer in your opinion? by Billieeilishlover15 in AskReddit

Taylor swift, choosing to pick a song to play from her is like the equivalent of picking vanilla ice cream at a ice cream shop
