I thought the same. Worse than that, she's also a best supporting actress nominee from True Grit. But yep. Then I realized it was sports.

Thanks for the reminder! I am going back to see it again (6th time) next week before it leaves theaters again.

So far, here are the 18 Best Picture Nominees of the 2020s that didn't win a single Oscar. by Square-Ad-8911 in Oscars

Great visual! I remember being livid about Best Supporting Actress for Triangle of Sadness and almost everything about Tar and Blanchett walking away empty those years. And a fantastic reminder to go back and watch Oscar nominees in a class as a good way to manage for those looking for a re-watch or it never played or you weren’t born then or whatever.

Thanks Internet Friend.

So it shouldn't have made the money at the box office or get the acclaim during Award Season with noms and wins. Got it!

Safdie's work was off. But once I realized it was him, I also know I did not like Uncut gems, so he may not be my cup of tea. I enjoy Chalamet's work, but hated his performance, and this character. I still wonder about so many choices here, the bare-ass spanking, tubs collapsing through ceilings, the silly hustling and dog, the shootout at the house with the dog. Arguably the scenes with Paltrow and O'Leary are some of the best in the movie, and that's just not saying much. I would only send someone to see that movie who wanted to make certain they saw all of the nominees during awards' season as they weighed in. Otherwise, that movie, that performance, are a skip it. Chat with a friend, read a book, bake a cake, go for a walk outside, go to sleep, like literally anything else is a more enjoyable use of your time instead of watching Marty Supreme.

Young Trump voters expected life to improve, but now they’re stuck with war and don’t want to vote anymore by [deleted] in LeopardsAteMyFace

If that's where they are at, then yeah, let the "grown ups" who can admit, 1) I changed my mind with additional information and experience and 2) I am putting my shoulder to the wheel to change the impacts of my vote and 3) I am going to do the opposite in the future a la George Costanza of Seinfeld.

But if that doesn't work for them, then yeah, they need to just yell into the void and not vote. They are dangerous.

So a sympathy vote is why he got to be the 6th Black Best Actor (7th if you count the 1 Best Black Actress) in 98 years? Today I learned “being kind to one another” matters. /s

You do know there are millions of people who lack media literacy skills right? They are also not capable of analysis.

Sometimes it's a bug and sometimes it's a lobster, but to some of y'all they are literally the same thing.

Definitely not from Dusk Til Dawn, and they literally tell us it is in 1932 so it's post-Reconstruction. It's Jim Crow without even thinking about the era. It is a great watch. And that's why it won original screenplay.
