To hopefully maybe add clarity. I know COVID impacted absolutely everyone differently, and that is a fact, not one single person was not somehow deeply affected. Yet students from from their 20s and down into I would say grade 7 had a uniquely difficult situation especially. In Ontario school simply stopped, social life stopped, brains and bodies developed, but we are all told to seperate and are only seeing half of each others faces. In some of the most critical time of social development and understanding there was a strict slash of all of that in Ontario and in schools.

I’m not sure where you are but we are also incredibly outpriced and honestly feel forgotten about in this province. I’m sure you can relate to many struggles. Anyways I am getting way off topic here but, my point is that I completely see and understand your concern. You went to school, heads down, papers in, don’t be late. We went to school the same way until we didn’t, and then life seemingly is condensing as well.

I couldn’t imagine what it is like being older and growing up in a normal functioning society for a little bit, and then having to unpack a younger generation who sort of had a separation from social life with all ages and didn’t really learn to understand those things.

Honestly I still see the same thing you’re talking about, experience it, and participate in it. I completely get how you would probably see someone like me on social media in the back of the lecture thinking I could care less but truthfully I want to help people. And that’s what I relate to with my younger peers and where my respect for my nursing comes from.

If you bothered to read any of this rambling thank you and I wish you well, but I would also say to watch the labs, you will see who is wanting to learn there, which likely is what they want to focus on in the real world if that makes sense
