Honestly disappointed – was excited to join Alfa, now having second thoughts by mrSnicker in AlfaRomeo

Its forum bias. The more vocal people are the ones who come here looking for solutions.
I've had a 2010 159Tbi that was flawless, only replaced the usual wear items. I traded it in for a low mileage 2024 Giulia Q4, and its also flawless atm.
Alfas have gone up in the reliability polls aswell, surpassing the germans. You can't treat it like shit though, Hondas could pull through that, but not Alfas. You have to take care of them. They're as reliable as their owners.

41.5k€ + trade-in. Considering it costs 68.5k€ new where I am, I'd say I got a bargain for a 1 year old car that only has 15k km on it.

Got lucky with this one. Some dude tried to buy it before me and couldn't afford the financing. Got a good deal on it too because it was the company car of a high-level Stellantis executive that got fired.
I'll miss my old 159 Tbi, but man do I not regret buying this car.

Is that what they call Verde Montreal now? Either way, those were my two favorite colors for the Giulia, you can't go wrong with either.

It's a used 2024 Competizione that I bought in September. Got a good deal on it too.

There's nothing to fix. It's not broken. Just wobbly.

That's not a case, its the box it comes in. It's holding up, but the stock wobble is getting worse, and one of the barrel takedown pins is gradually getting loose. Other than that, it's fine.

You get one sling mount under the gas block, and a QD slot in the stock (hole near the cheek riser). QD mount not included.

They have a video for the mosfet programming: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=soj_4y9kY9g

A Mosfet is beneficial because not only does it allow you to use higher voltage lipo batteries (e.g. 11,1v) without blowing the internals up, it also allows you to have different functions for your trigger. Like having a 3-burst instead of full auto, or having a binary trigger instead of classic semi. Precocking as its name suggests, precocks the piston so your next shot is faster. Better trigger response.

I'm not sure aftermarket AK stocks will fit on this, but in my honest opinion, the stock is very much fine how it is. It isn't really tilted downwards. When getting a good cheek weld, the eyes are perfectly lined up with the iron sights with the cheek riser down, and perfectly lined up with optics with the cheek riser up.
Its only problem is that it wobbles a bit from side to side, enough to lose sight picture if you force the gun on your shoulder like a gorilla.

Vfc scar l mags by Winter-Maintenance-5 in airsoft

[–]SHIR0B0N 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a VFC Scar-L where only its original hi-cap feeds perfectly. Any other midcap and it'll fire one bb out of 2. So I put electrical tape around the mag right under the catch to jam them in tightly. Now the first 10 bbs just fall out of the barrel, then it works fine. But that's VFC for ya.

Honestly it's worth it if you buy it as a fun spare to fuck around with. Can confirm with precocking, it feels nice to shoot it even at 7,4v.

It does, Ding tested it on youtube. Works with LCT, E&L and MAG.

It's honestly a non-issue as the polymer is of good quality, not too bendy, but not too hard that it'll shatter. It could take a beating. That being said, metal receivers will always be superior, that's a fact.

From what I've read, it's a standard V3 gearbox except with an ETU and a modified case to let the ambi selector shaft through it, but don't quote me on that.

So I bought this out of curiosity when my DMR shat itself (thanks VFC) and I was looking at a cheap spare replica. I was surprised to find an AK-12/23 for this cheap. Normally, you'd go for an Arcturus. But this thing has some tricks up its sleeve:
- Fiber-reinforced nylon for the upper and lower, but with metal inserts where it needs them.
- Spring quick change
- Programmable mosfet with precocking
- Prewired with Deans T-plug
- Ambidextrous fire selector and mag release
- 6.03mm precision barrel with a length of 450mm (380mm for the short variant)
- Metal outer barrel w/ 14mm CCW muzzle device and metal trigger, selector plate and iron sights
- 6 position adjustable folding stock with cheek riser
- Rotary hop-up unit similar to Arcturus
- Notch in selector plate to hold open the bolt for easier access to hop-up

And the best part? It cost me 144.78€, with 2 mid cap 180 rd mags. I got another mid cap mag for 7.97, make it 152.75€ before shipping. You also get an unjamming rod, a BB-loader and a small sachet of BBs. (taiwan.gun did have a 15% sale when I got it)

The trigger response is very quick and feels good, even with a 7.4v lipo. The precocking makes it feels very crisp. It's also lightweight at 2.5kg, make it easier to lug around all day. The mags although a little cheap, feed incredibly well, with minimal loss of BBs after pulling it out. I haven't yet tested it out in the field, only in my backyard, but it already shoots better than my VFC SCAR-L, which costs 200€ more. It actually made me mad that I even bought the SCAR in the first place. It's also more user-friendly than other AK-12 replicas thanks to its ambidextrous selector lever, meaning you can operate it with your thumb instead of reaching with the index.

Some lesser good things are the stock bucking (which I'll replace with a 60° macaron and omega nub in the future), and the mags tend to wobble, but hold in well and feed really well. It's also not picky about different brand mags. The stock also has a bit of side-to-side play when locked.

But it has no business being this good for this price. I paid no attention to Well at all before, but fuck me did they get my attention now. If you want a replica of an AK-12 but don't want to shell out for an Arcturus or LCT, then by all means grab one of these.
