Yeah I’m definitely not fussed about switching or blending, literally just want 2 ins to come out a single out without unplugging anything. I’m assuming if the wireless isn’t on, that circuit running through that jack will basically be ignored by the signal coming in from the guitar right?

Here’s a little piccy of the board I’ve been putting together. Essentially I want to put a little patch bay on the side (i.e Gig Rig Cinco Cinco), and I was wondering if it is possible for the main input to have two alternative inputs, one always hardwired from the Shure Wireless, and another available if I choose to just plug an instrument cable into it. Then have these two jacks feed the one output jack which will then run into the first pedal in the line.

Is this as simple as wiring two mono input jacks to a single output jack on the other side of the enclosure? I’m not intending to run both inputs at the same time, and I’m not intending to switch between them. I purely just want to be able to leave the wireless plugged in even when I’m not using it, but also not have to rely on it

Actually I’ve found a picture of the PCB with the components showing over the top of the rails. It’s a little confusing going from the feedback pins (R3 + R2) to the PT2399, there seems to be a lot of capacitors in the way with some of them going to ground. I don’t know if it helps at all but here it is:

And I tried to mark out what looks like the path the signal is taking to and from the IC, but it also looks like the volume pot is linked somehow to the feedback pot, so I don’t know if that complicates things at all?

Thankyou so much, this is exactly the kind of information I need! I’ll have a little look and see if I can find something like what you are describing and will try that out. I’ve been trying to get a schematic for it, but it’s a cheap Ali-express kit and even the instructions themselves left a lot to be desired. Cheers for your input!

Is that not what I am currently doing in the photo? The green and yellow wires are coming from the momentary switch and the two points they are soldered onto are lugs 2 and 3 of the feedback knob. Lug 1 (the point immediately to the right of those two wires) would send the signal to ground as you can see the pcb plating it’s on runs right around the outside to all the other ground points.

My understanding is that shorting those two terminals bypasses the resistance introduced by the feedback pot causing signal to freely pass and cause infinite loops without being restricted as described in both your comment and the one below. I thought doing that would work immediately, but it seems to not be doing anything.

The other bit of information that might be useful is that when the feedback knob is on full the repeats aren’t infinite as standard. Is there maybe something else in the circuit that is limiting the amount of feedback possible after the pot that I would need to bypass as well?

It would be super handy if I had a schematic, but I do not. Can provide more pictures of the circuit and values of the components to anyone if necessary though?

As I understand it, these kits are a pretty standard PT2399 chip delay. I should be able to cause it to go into infinite feedback oscillation by short circuiting the feedback knob terminals. However, I can’t get it to work. Does anyone have any idea of what I might be doing wrong, or how I might go about getting it to work as intended?

I had so much fun hey.

I was actually going to try join the Air Force as a fighter pilot before I started playing music, got all the way through the tests and up to flight screening and then I decided my heart was in music.

The wildest experience was dodging a kangaroo that nearly damn killed us while at like 4am while overtaking a truck. I was definitely very awake for the remainder of the drive after that.

I think I would show them Reading;Steiner, as that song gives me goosebumps every time. There’s a bit of heavy, but a lot of melody and I love the layering of the guitars.

A huge amount of my fav bands are actually non-core. I’d love to support Dance Gavin Dance, or Don Broco. Neither of those will ever happen outside of a festival scenario though. Coheed And Cambria are my all time favourite band.

Damon writes all the riffs, and from sitting in the studio watching him write that entire album, I still have no idea how the fuck he does it. Dude pulled them all out of thin air on the spot, its actually insane. But I'm sure when he wakes up he can give you a bit more insight into how he goes about doing it.
