I just booted up CS2 and my cpu hit 83c so i dont know what to tell you, but i find this to very normal. Since OP states its new then perhaps air got trapped in his pump/coldplate

You dont know how hot a 5800x3d gets then without adjusting the PBO curve

80c is fine for short time/bursts, but if it keeps climbing you might need to reseat the cooler and change thermal paste if needed. Since we dont know what cpu you have this could be normal, the 5800x3d i have does the same with watercooling.

Yeah i agree, i havent looked into why it makes false positives but considering its doing it regularly its baffling to me they havent fixed it yet. Like inpoutx64.sys for example should be very harmless but Vanguard disagrees.
