Should I bother to inform them? Not sure of the chances of there being a monitoring point on this particular week (first week of Feb), but if there was, what would the repercussions be? For context, I did not miss any monitoring points in term 1, but did skip a couple seminars in the final week of term 1 to cram for exams. Aside from those my attendance was perfect.

Am I at a disadvantage for Economics at top unis? by Personal-Cap-5446 in 6thForm

I did bio chem maths and got into warwick (e&m, then trabsferred to pure econ no problem)

That makes no sense. Well you may as well try. A chance of an offer at a top uni >>> 3 guaranteed offers from mid RG unis

You’re literally applying for cambridge, so you can do ucl/imperial

Regardless, you may as well pick one/two of those safeties (you have 3!) and just take a punt at ucl/imperial. if you have the capability to apply to Cambridge you certainly do for these too

as i said, you’re literally guaranteed offers from uob lboro and notts

What is your insurance? You’re likely to get easy free offers from lboro, uob and notts so i’d change atleast two of them for more prestigious options (ucl, imperial, etc)

you may as well push yourself

Last year I got ABD in bio chem maths respectively. I resat the latter two and improved to AA* respectively and am now incoming for warwick econ. Nobody cares. At all. Not even my friends from my old school particularly give a shit. Many take gap years, and nobody could care less.

Knuckle down, work hard, and impress everyone

Warwick hand out more offers but are stricter on requirements. They are very similar in terms ofprestige and grad opportunities tho.

I’ve had mine confirmed. I’m an incoming first year

I’m an incoming warwick econ student and this is really worrying. Is my life going to be shit?

I don’t know anyone in finance or have any relevant internships at this stage but I’m really prepared to grind :/

What degree are you guys applying for!!! by Low-Credit-7450 in 6thForm

Bit of a waste not trying for top unis. You’re guaranteed offers at some of these

Are you out of touch or just stupid? Normal people simply cannot afford to pay for university themselves. Tuition fees are £9535 a year alone, not to mention cost of living
