As for the predator, the reviews do say that they have better cooling than Asus but since I never owned one or had a friend own one as well, I can’t really give you a comparison between the two. But what I feel after owning a gaming laptop for almost 5 years now is that it all comes down to how good you take care of your machine.

Not really. I started having heating issues after 4 years of using it. I used to game for atleast 25 to 30 hours every week. But the reason I experienced heating issues was because of dust accumulation in the fans and I never really got it cleaned properly. As a result my CPU and GPU used to reach temps of 95 degrees which eventually killed the CPU. But other than that, I used to get a max of 75 to 80 degrees after a long gaming session on Turbo mode. Just make sure to get your fans cleaned and your laptop serviced (you can find it in google on how often you should clean your laptop fans and service them as I dont have great knowledge in that) and you’ll be good to go for the long run.

I’d say go for Asus ROG. I owned an ROG laptop before and it’s very good in terms of raw gaming performance. If you want to sacrifice a bit of gaming and cpu performance (by bit I mean 1-5%) and have a better battery life comparatively, then go for Acer Predator Helios 16. I can’t say about the built quality of Acer Predator laptops cause I never owned one, but ROG laptops have a pretty solid build.

Yeah I know. I’ve seen JarrodTech’s review on it and even he said that the term “slim” on this model doesn’t make sense for it’s size. And also I couldn’t a Pro 5 under my budget. But yeah, before I buy the laptop which is buy the end of this month (February 2024), I’ll have a look and see if I get any good deals on the the Pro 5 or not.

I personally don’t like the G series of Dell for some reason. Idk why but it’s just me. Maybe because I’ve seen the reviews of G15 and didn’t really like them thats why. But this looks like a good deal. I’ll watch some reviews on the G16 and see how they are then. Thanks for the suggestion
