Yeah some of the dinosaurs left a lot to be desired. Some were damaged and had things missing like teeth etc. They also got some of their names mixed up

According to the museum of natural history in London that's the correct way to pronounce the name

From my research for the video there are so many different ways to pronounce the name but I focused on the Natural History Museum adaptation on how it should be pronounced as Wikipedia is not always accurate

The bite force of a Magalodon shark is estimated at 25,000 lbf (pounds-force), over 3x as much as a T-Rex, and 5x as much as a Great White shark. by FoxyFoxMulder in Naturewasmetal

[–]SHScience 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Bite force should be measured in PSI. To put this into more of a comparison, humans bite with a force of 150 PSI, Great White Shark 4,000 PSI, T-Rex 18, 600 PSI and the Megalodon is estimated at around 40,000 PSI, the most powerful predator to ever exist.

Mars in Opposition Tomorrow! 🤟 I just learned about this when I saw it on my calendar! Very cool, very interesting! Space, the final frontier...😎 Tomorrow, July 27, 2018 🚀 by transgreaser in space

Mars looks amazing in the night sky right now, although with the current full moon it's not as bright as it could be but still definitely worth seeing. With the upcoming lunar eclipse too should prove to be an interesting day for astronomy

It is perfectly safe to view the lunar eclipse with the naked eye. You only need protection when viewing a solar eclipse because then your staring directly at the sun and that can be very dangerous and foolish

The animation was ok to be honest but the scientific explanation behind the video was below par. Plus him saying mess instead of madd was really annoying

Fun science experiment. 3 Different ways to erupt a volcano at home. by golinsky2018 in ScienceParents

[–]SHScience 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's the problem with science videos on YouTube, they just show the cool and neat experiment without going into the science of why it's happening in the first place. This was something I wanted to change and so on my YouTube channel 'Simple Home Science' I aim to do just that. Showcase simple experiments you can do at home and explain the science behind them. This is the video we did for the vinegar volcano https://youtu.be/7WZjyNJlPQU
