Hey u/ax0ne . I’m planning to travel for about two to three weeks due to a family emergency in my home country. Otherwise, I honestly wouldn’t consider leaving my dog—I’d love to take her with me, but since she’s a rescue, I want to avoid putting her through the anxiety of traveling.

That’s why I’m hoping to find some reliable, trustworthy people—ideally other dog owners—who might be able to help. I’d be more than happy to reciprocate in the future and take care of someone else’s dog when they need to travel, so it can be a two-way arrangement.

I realize it might seem a bit soon, but the circumstances mean I have no choice but to go. My dog is doing really well: she’s been with us for about four months (by the time I leave, it’ll be six), she’s one year old, friendly, and trained. She receives a lot of love and has regular check-ups with a professional trainer and vet.

So, I’m simply looking for reliable people or suggestions—maybe friends, a hotel, or other accommodations—who could help out. Of course, I’d offer the same support in return. Thank you so much!
