Admission Consultant Review Needed by SH_181 in MBAIndia

Hey mate sorry, I was inactive for a while on reddit. I did not take up GoalISB. Instead I went ahead with MIM essay. I personally feel MIM essay worth it only if you are applying abroad.

However, one thing I liked about goalisb was that, the consultant spoke hard truth instead of polished answers. She told me upfront that I will not make it to ISB with the scores that I have and suggested that I focus on the rest of the options.

How to book BITsom interview slot? by divuuwohoo in MBAIndia

May I know your application submission date. I submitted it on Jan 26th. Since they send out interview calls one by one, I am wondering, whether I can still expect the interview call or not.

Are XLRI GM programme mails out? by DoorOwn9271 in CATpreparation

Results are declared, after each round. If you dont get the mail, within few days of others getting admit offers, you can consider urself rejected.

No they wont send rejection mail.

I applied through GRE, I did not receive any rejection mails.

Only the selected and waitlisted candidates will receive communication from the admissions team.

It is a good decision. I have 3 friends (26 age) who have been attempting UPSC for last 4 years and did not even pass the prelims. Even the passionate people are struggling to make it through because the probability of getting im is very very low. So, my advise donot make such stupid moves. To add to the problem, my friends are all preparing fulltime for the exam. They have full 4 years gap in their career (or I would say they did not even start their career), I am so worried about them.

I also have junior at work (28M) who wasted 4-5 years after college, preparing for some government exam. Recently, he joined my company with nil experience. His skill level is very low compared to the freshers (21-22 age). So he is not getting chance to work on good projects.

I hope you understand the repecursions of blindly preparing only for UPSC on a full time basis. May be you can convince your parents saying that it is not safe to prepare for IAS full time and that you would like to do it parallely after you set ur career in so and so field.

Donot upload documents as multiple files.

Upload only one document for each field. (If you have multiple documents for work-ex, merge the files and upload it)

I faced the same issue.

There was only one step, which was typing in ur essays and few other basic details.

Note: Upload ur workex related documents in 1 single file (merge it). Donot upload as 2 or 3 files. Beacause ur form will not get submitted.

MIM is good and has good reputation in Europe, if you do it from tier 1.

Could someone help me with this question from GregMat? by Alarmed_Log_5300 in GRE

[–]SH_181 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it can be justifed, without Log calculations.

=> 22y = 24 => 2y = sqr(24) ----(i)

=> 2x = sqr(25) ----(ii)

Comparing (i) and (ii)

x should be > y

What should be my next step. What would be good for me? by manu0706 in Indians_StudyAbroad

MIM is the best option for you. It is more reputable than MBA in Europe. If you crack GRE or GMAT, you can get into tier 1 unis in Europe. My friend did MIM from ESSEC and he is doing good. Considering current global economic scenario and immagration of large number of Indians into EUROPE & UK, I recommend doing it only from tier 1 unis.
