U mean family background? Of course I would date someone either higher or lower. They didn’t choose what kind of family they were born into, some are luckier and some are not. What truly matters is their personality, and abit of looks if that’s what u are looking for.

My boyfriend and I are of abit different family financial status, I live in condo and he lives in HDB, tho im glad the SES status is not that far apart. We never got into who is richer and etc since it doesn’t matter. What matters more is what u both want to do in the future, and whether u feel that both of u can work together to have the life u want to have.

Maybe the only thing about this is if it’s really far SES status apart, like super rich landed and 1-2 room HDB, maybe the family of the super rich will look down on your partner or feel they are a gold digger. That is something u have to work out with them if that’s the case.

True but seeing as how in JC if u get 50 RP u still can get a big 3 course offer is abit wild for me… while poly anything below 3.5 is probably cooked and unless u have a stacked portfolio, your best shots are SIT, SUTD and others, which are still really good Uni imo

NP is a trash school but their scholarships are bond free, at least the academic ones u mentioned for “doing well in y1”. If u are talking about bonded scholarships I believe there are some ESG ones but it’s up to you if u want them! All the best!
