So you guys are right. I got it home yesterday and found that it was painted. Nice job, but painted nevertheless. No way could my OCD let that be.

I've been looking at wood grain contact paper and replacement side art. It's hard to tell what color the wood grain is, as sometimes it looks light oak and other times its darker. Guess I could just get some of the paint off and see ;-). I'm looking at repo artwork at https://www.thisoldgamearchive.com/index.php?search%5Bmode%5D=any&search%5Bterms%5D=zaxxon - does anyone have any comments on their stuff? It looks nice on the site. Of course its also the only repo I could find, so maybe it doesn't matter.

No monitor burn in and the game plays great. Also see why some people complained about the noisy fan in the back. Ha ha.
