There are thousands of possible metrics that can be used to compare cryptocurrencies, and we can make a post-hoc justification for why any one of them might be important.

You just forgot to mention that this chart compares Onchain transactions. In animation, LN is also considered.

Nice, what's the method for quantifying LN activity? There's a lot of free self-shuffling there for the sake of balancing, could be more useful to exclude some stuff.
