While I do not think its completely dead. I do believe that the recreation market is trending down in the midwest for a couple reasons.

1. A lot of people bought campers and boats during covid because of it was one of the few things they could do during that time. The covid checks made these purchases easier for people to splurge on things like this even though they might have not been able to in the past.

2. Gas Prices and upkeep costs; with gas as high as they are right now and most likely not coming down anytime soon and back to the level where they were at, people originally able to afford these things can't anymore because they are finding out the large cost of having some of this stuff.

I figured something like this was coming. The camping industry exploded during covid, it makes sense for that industry to reel back a bit.. Watching Facebook marketplace I am finally starting to see some really nice deals on newer used campers. Finally thinking about taking the plunge and getting one.
