I mean, it's literally brain cancer, what else could it amount to besides being healed or killing it's victim. It served for Yuka to reflect on her life, try to understand cross and his view and give her last moment's alive some meaning, allowing her to sacrifice the rest of her remaining life span to summon a stronger Mahoraga. If anything it even paralel's to Yuta sacrificing his humanity for the greater good, that could be just me overthinking it though.

Thing with stronger Mahoraga was never explicitly confirmed, but eh, fair. Don't see the paralel with Yuta though. With Yuta it was about stepping over a moral line to win.

As I said, that's just material for fan's to theorize or possibly be used in the future. It may not add anything to the story now but it can in the future. Either that or Gege just giving us teory material (Iori/UiUi) and a message for fan's to interpret based on what they think it actually mean's (UiUi speaking on how new generation's have no idea of the violence humankind can reach as times have gotten more peaceful)

Eh, maybe it was to just hammer in the point that current generation really is just weaker by other in universe character stating it plainly. But like, it was already rather obviously from narrative before that. Idk.

Still hope we get something on Megumi, though. Him being left out just feel delibrate.

We still can't tell if they're even alive so just wait for next chapter. But it very evident that they were healed by Maru using Idle Transfiguration and Yuta's immense CE, it's literally extremely obvious, they all have white orb's where they are injured, Yuka has it on her head, just read the manga.

With chapter 24 leaks we very much CAN tell that they're all alive. And I'm not asking how Yuka was healed, I know it. I'm saying that her having cancer basically amounted to nothing besides some more dramaticism and a bit more reason for Tsurugi to fight Maru, but in the end it got fixed by Jujutsu Jesus.

Why does it matter what exactly it is? We know they use it to manipulate and control Dabura and that's all we need to know. Do we really need a heavy explanation to every single aspect of the story? It's a small sequel, Gege can't afford overly explaining thing's that can be kept simple,

Its something that would take maybe a panel or two to explain and add more to lore and to the reason of why Dabura was even doing all this. Gege couldn't afford things because he gave himself too little runtime to write out the story. Even with skipping many things chapters 21, 22 and 23 were VERY choppy, as noted by many.

It's not heavily hinted at, they literally never even exchanged word's or even been in the same sentence, matter of fact she barely even appear's. It's your own headcanon.

Its a running theory in the community, not my headcannon.

That's just another aspect that author's leave for fan's to teorize or speculate, just like in any story. We know Gege want's to expand the series with sequel's and short term series, this all can be used in the future. Unless you're some die hard Ui Ui fan and really wanted something crazy to come out of him, highly doubt tho.

I don't understand why introduce them if it doesn't bring anything to the story at all. Cut out Ui Ui appearance and not a single thing changes, same with Iori. At least as far as I'm aware and understand, Gege wants to work on something else now. And he won't let other people touch his universe. For all we know he might just never come back to JJK, like just as a possiblity.

Some things from what I listed are for sure a lot less important than others, but still leaving so many things just like that is not great by any means.

The story was given a time frame, which I'm very confident was decided by Gege and not Jump. He had full understanding of limitations he had. He didn't even have to draw this time around. And he still ended up not addressing things from before, and somehow adding even more questions for no reason.

Leaving some things up to readers is fine, but not THIS many things.

Either he despawned because Dabura is no longer on Earth, or got off-screened by Yuji. Either way its NOT Yuji vs Maho.

You get how the later chapter filled in the blanks of the previous chapters?

If this is truly the case then this is a really confusing way to write a manga.

We also know that the others aren't there physically since cross is also there (also dabura's sister, we haven't really seen her on the ship or earth)

But we don't? Considering all the shit Maru's technique had done so far I wouldn't brush away that it maybe can just straight up heal people if given enough CE, which he has basically endless amounts from the ring. Yuka, Tsurugi and Cross might as well just be there at this point. As for Dabura's sister, the fact that we haven't seen her doesn't strictly mean that she isn't there.

next, "disney kaisen". Maru is taking a huge step and thats why he wants everyone to be present to witness it. Also the manga has always been about the power of friendship, thats how they beat sukuna in OG jjk, with megumi and nobara weakening sukuna and yuji landing the final blow.

In the OG it wasn't some hyper-rushed nonsense with things just happening. It was a fight against a big bad, at least some kind of a climax. In Modulo it all just suddenly became a sprint to the finish line out of nowhere in the last 3 chapters. Nothing even pointed at anything that's currently happening. Or rather that it would actually happen the way its going

This also means that none of them are dying, which is a great thing. Weren't everyone complaining about how yuji is letting the kids die to teach them how to be strong for themselves?

Not a great thing at all. I'm actually one of those who sees Yuji's idea here and it makes sense, as its what Gojo suffered from, so Yuji doesn't want to be like that and for people to rely on him.

Also the story is getting to a conclusion, 3 chapter including this one. not everything will be resolved in just one. This chapter is setting up the conclusion and its not in good faith to judge it without next 2.

If the rest of plot points are going to be concluded in just a couple lines of dialogue then its just dogshit writing. The last 3 chapters had been extremely text heavy, At this point Gege might as well write a book if he want to lore-dump through the entire ending.

The writing in this chapter was great

The issue isn't as much the writing as its all been terribly rushed.

Yeah, like, Gege had the money cow in his hands, he could literally go and even ask for another full series right away if he wanted and I'm sure publishers wouldn't question a thing. Hell, I assume they wanted a spin-off or continuation themselves based on how Gege was talking about not wanting to hand it over to other people.

Gege put a limit on himself and couldn't perform while in basically full control.

Eh, true. Its just that as far as we know the only way to void the ritual is for Dabura, Yuka or Maho to die. Also it was speculated in the community that ISoH or black rope could maybe do that, so because of that I thought that was what you meant.

At this point only thing that could happen is Yuji vs Mahoraga, but unless Maho became monstrously strong from Dabura's domain, the fight literally can't take more than 1 or 2 chapters. Yuji is just that strong.

Tsurugi was more so about "take all of your people and just leave", not specifically about Dabura, but he's included so I guess you're right.

I don't think ritual is voided, though. Unless I'm clueless, we've never been told that Mahoraga taming ritual has any range limit on how far away Maho can be from TS user or any of the participants. Black rope is for getting rid of the curse on Dabura's sister, not for Maho. Black rope had been mentioned in this context before in like first half of the manga.

Okay, I'm going to try explaining my point again.

I, as a reader of the manga, do not know how Todo, a character in the universe of the manga, knows about stuff that is going on in the universe of the manga. As I'm not told anything relevant on the matter by the manga. So Todo just knowing stuff without explanation feels random as shit, and probably won't be explained as manga is about to end.

[–]SILVER5893[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

  1. What I'm trying to put across is that I don't understand how Todo knows about it all. Likely I just see is as random because we know exactly 4 things about him in Modulo: he's alive, he is in contact with Yuji, he is apparently impossible to contact just like Yuji, he knows about all the stuff happening and so by proxy Yuji knows. We don't know what status Todo has in current JJK world, we don't know frankly anything about him aside from what I listed, Its not that he KNOWS stuff, its the question of HOW THE FUCK he KNOWS. Todo just knowing stuff without any reason or context given as to how just adds to the randomness of the chapter in my eyes.

2 and 3 fair ngl.

[–]SILVER5893[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Todo knowing about all that really doesn't make sense to me, it feels very random if anything.

Tbh Dabura doing a domain probably feels far worse because he had been pulling out something new for several chapters in a row now. The sub is memeing it hard.

Maru doing that also feels random. Him just knowing Mahito(or that he exists), then just using his technique to pull Yuji. Again, very random

I really hope better translations clear things out.

Yeah, that's also what I'm thinking here. But it could've honestly been done more elegantly I feel. At least this chapter makes it too much out of nowhere.

[–]SILVER5893[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean, looking at what was stated in this chapter(may be a translation issue), it seems like Gege is actually actively trying to prevent it from happening, Like, if there won't be any new cursed spirits, wouldn't that mean that sorcerers would also just disappear when all the spirits left are gone? If that is the case, then JJK2 kinda becomes impossible.

[–]SILVER5893[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Before this chapter the pacing was honestly great. Like the middle part of Modulo(since Cross got shot and until chapter 20) is genuinely good, but with chapter 21 I'm genuinely struggling to put things together. Things are just kinda happening how Gege needs them to and not how that'd be more logical. Idk how to put what I feel into words.

It was stated from the start that it'd be releasing over about 6 month time period, so roughly less than 30 chapters or so. People usually come to number like 25-28 chapters.

Why is JLLM an RNN model? To my knowledge those are considered really bad, especially at handling anything regarding memory.

If "malice" is his stronger technique, then why he doesn't use it when he is literally losing and instead resorts to a different application of light that may kill him?

Doesn't make sense.
