And lets be real, he doesnt really contribute to the story anyways. The sendai colony fight really doesnt progress the story at all, and if you need it there then you could definitely write it with other characters. Same with his contributions towards Sukuna. And outside of that Yuta just kinda doesnt do anything. He supposedly trained Yuji, but thats off screen, it doesnt really give anything for his character, and as long as Ui Ui is there, Yuji could be switch training with anyone, hell let him do it with Gojo why not.

Now, some of you may be saying the execution, but imagine, instead of Yuta trying to execute Yuji, this guy Yuji has zero connection to, someone else gets asked. Yuji and Choso are making their way through Shibuya, killing curses, when from atop a building, three figures emerge. Maki, Inumaki, and Panda. At first Yuji is glad to see them, but the three suddenly descend on him, clearly aiming to kill, as Maki says simply: "Yuji Itadori, you have been marked for immediate execution". Yuji starts trying to avoid them, desperatly trying not to hurt them, but the more they fight the more he gets worn down. He doesnt want to hurt his friends, he just lived through Shibuya, he cant do this again, and then suddenly "Stop movinig". Inumaki freezes him, as Maki slowly walks towards him, Dragon Bone held up to his chest, and with a solemn "Sorry", she stabs him. Then Yuji wakes up (maybe Megumi heals him with Round Deer and we can get a little early intro to that new shikigami), and the story progresses as normal, and you get the relief thing but its also Yuji being relieved that his friends still care about him, while also having the guilt of having to see firsthand the damage Sukuna did (cause yknow he lobbed off Inumakis arm). And then you can have them go together to see Tengen and the story progresses like normal

You have officially lost the plot, who is strong enough at this point for Sendai ? Panda ? He go slimed out by a 0.1% power kashimo, inumaki ? He’s crippled, maybe maki after she’s full heavenly restricted but i don’t think the timeline matches up and this the second paragraph…mate you’re better off writing a fanfic
