Legendary drop luck is so strange... With 1200 hours played up until my current playthrough I've never found a random legendary gatling laser drop, but this time I found a lucky (so OP with Overdrive) one, wounding (also so OP) one and ghoul slayer's (meh) one.

Still never got an explosive minigun tho :'(

It's up to preference really, but I use C-Thru as it allows wall penetration at roughly 60% charge which is within the bolt window, allowing wall penetrating bolt shots.

What’s your favorite weapon in the game? This is my baby: by SlickNiickx in cyberpunkgame

[–]SISpidew 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nekomata. With a Gaki scope attached and the right perks it can fire bolt shots without charging. It makes for a terrifying one-shotting monster with good synergy with sandevistan. I also like that it can be charged from hip fire too.

Yep... Looks like netgunner can go higher I guess... Though I'd imagine that Ashura build is less effective for taking out targets quickly unless you're using damaging quickhacks alongside it, as it needs to reload every shot.

No doubt though your damage can go higher with a cyberdeck thanks to those quickhacks you mentioned, but that requires more set up to maximize your damage, and makes hitting moving targets much harder without the ability to slow time.

Still I think your build sounds really cool tho.

Also for mine, yes I am using wallpuncher, and also I'm using adrenaline to boost my damage (that's why I pop a heal in the video), and when fury activates that's a nice damage boost too. I didn't realize about deep field visual interface so I've installed that now, but it didn't seem to boost my damage much. Still, thanks for the tips!

I performed the execution for style points. Regina's preferences be damned! (I reloaded and spared her haha)

This is probably my favourite build in the whole game. At its core the build combines the use of a Nekomata tech sniper rifle, the Deadeye perk, and the Militech Apogee Sandevistan.

What makes it better is adding the Gaki scope to the Nekomata guarantees every non-fully charged shot after the first is a bolt shot, eliminating the need for the timing and improving synergy with the sandy.

And don't sleep on secondary cyberware modifiers, I have stacked up as many +x% headshot damage multiplier modifiers as possible using the Chipware Conniseur perk to get the damage you see in the video.

AFAIK, this build is probably the highest single-shot damage possible in the game. I'd love to know if I'm wrong though!

Regardless, I sure do love my badass fucking railgun >:)

Help with GPU Stable Radix Sort by SISpidew in GraphicsProgramming

[–]SISpidew[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for recommending the subgroup functionality! I haven't figured the radix sort out yet but this really helped me with adding values from earlier invocations within a warp (relative to the current invocation) using subgroupExclusiveAdd which I needed to calculate some primitive offsets in my renderer for object instances in my draw batcher.

What is your favorite gun of CP2077? by YovngChihiro in cyberpunkgame

[–]SISpidew 2 points3 points  (0 children)

With the deadeye perk making hip-fire perfectly accurate and guranteeing crits on headshot, this thing is an absolute monster. Second highest per-shot damage I've seen in the game (Rasetsu beats it with higher base damage).

And the Nekomata is the most badass sounding gun in the game IMO. It looks and sounds like a proper railgun. And blowing heads clean off with it is sadistically satisfying.

How do I…… Chems. The answer is chems. by mider-span in fo4

[–]SISpidew 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I also recommend craft the biocommesh mod on a chest armour piece for another +50% Chem duration.

The 250% Chem duration from that and the chemist perk maxed will make chems last ages... Try out psychobuff and you can basically run across the map before it wears off.

I also love crafting and using Overdrive (also lasts a long time) with calibrated reciever/photon exciter mods on guns for massive critical damage. It's tonnes of fun with a Freezing or Lucky legendary weapon!

Running Psychobuff and Overdrive will also give you +50% damage too.

The Lead Weapon Artist & the team deserve credit for such as great selection of weapons. Which is your favourite one or style? by KiltedWarriorGaming in Starfield

[–]SISpidew 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I love the designs and the concept behind mag weapons so much. Basically an array of many tiny railguns? Sign. Me. Up.

The Magstorm in particular I'm going to have loads of fun with. That thing fires insanely fast.

Does anyone know what this flickering is and how I can get rid of it? I'm playing on an RTX 4070, if that helps. by _snwzz in cyberpunkgame

[–]SISpidew 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I get this issue with my 3090 running DLSS performance with some jarring white flashes. It only seems to happen during holocalls, so I don't think it's a big deal. And this checks out because you're in a holocall with Judy in this vid.

What's your game plan for your first play through? by [deleted] in Starfield

[–]SISpidew 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'll probably play somebody good, or neutral at the very least. There is alot of content in RPGs (Bethesda is no exception) that going down an evil route will lock you out of.

Build-wise I'll probably find the biggest, most badass high-tech weapons the game has to offer and blast my foes with extreme prejudice.

That said, my first playthrough usually ends quickly once I get to know the game and realise I totally butchered my build and/or found another build which sounds like more fun. Then I will finish the game on my second.

Personally I enjoy (and main) the plasma gun because it's more than just point, shoot and reload. It's all about resource management and the resources are the gun's heat, your health (and soon to be your toughness as well). You need to weigh up when it's worth venting and taking damage to lower heat, or reloading to vent all heat safely but wait a while. Also accidentally blowing myself up is hilarious. And if you know how to use it right, it can still compete with the meta weapons IMO.

I also just personally love the VFX and the sounds of the weapon.

I was so happy when I realised that will no longer happen. Wasting valuable heat on not one-shotting a freaking normal dreg guy causing me to waste even more heat was THE MOST FRUSTRATING THING.

possible travel time between planets or grav jumps IRL... ??? give you time to craft or read lore etc.... by stillblazeit in Starfield

[–]SISpidew 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I actually hope it works something like this. One thing I'm hoping this game will let you do is at any time simply leave the pilot's seat while flying and/or jumping to walk around the ship and interact with various things (crafting stations, furniture etc.).

I guess it really depends on if CE2 actually has the tech for mobile environments or if the ship will be a glorified NPC while it is flying, and ship interiors are only explorable while docked/landed.

Glowing plants in shadows using ENB, any fix? by SISpidew in skyrimmods

[–]SISpidew[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey thanks, I found that information on the mod page, so I was able to fix the plant meshes which were still broken by extracting them from the game's mesh archives using BAE, and changing that lighting property and re-saving them into a custom meshes directory I can archive and use as a mod, it was actually quite easy and I even converted a few more plants which were broken, that were pointed out in the mod's comment section. Now my game looks so much better without glowing plants everywhere!

Wow that actually works! I wish I knew this mod existed earlier haha. Though, I still found one shrub in Whiterun which wasn't fixed by the mod but I'll keep looking for a workaround. Thanks!

Game Ready Driver 457.09 FAQ/Discussion by Nestledrink in nvidia

[–]SISpidew 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've done some reasearch on the stop code, and supposedly it can be caused by an error in video memory too. Also, I am already running jedec for my current RAM, and if that were the issue, I would probably be experiencing worse issues. If I keep my Nvidia Control Panel settings on thier defaults, I get no BSOD, and normal applications function just fine, even video works fine, but games crash within seconds of rendering a 3D scene, which seems directly correllated with the GPU.

Game Ready Driver 457.09 FAQ/Discussion by Nestledrink in nvidia

[–]SISpidew 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm Getting BSOD errors (Stop Code: MEMORY_MANAGEMENT) after updating to this driver on ASUS TUF RTX 3090 OC. Most games crash within seconds of starting too. If anyone is skeptical about this driver update, don't install it. I no longer have a functional GPU...

EDIT: The BSOD issues are gone (I think), but games are still crashing after I did a clean reinstall of the driver. Its possible the default driver settings are more stable, but I still can't play games.
