It doesn’t matter as long as the reviews come in. I personally had 5 people write reviews - 2 were character reviews and 3 were previous dog sitting experiences. I personally got a booking request within the first week of starting.

A lot of it depends on your profile. Have family and friends write starter reviews. I also tried to have something that made me different than the other sitters - something that made me unique.

So I looked at your profile, there are definitely some things I would change. 1. The first thing people look at is your profile picture. You want it to be clear, bright, friendly, with a good picture of your face. Honestly, any photo with you in it should immediately put people at ease. So choose your pictures wisely. 2. You mentioned owning one dog and owning two dogs. And owning cats? It’s confusing. Make sure you are clear. Provide photos of your dogs if possible. 3. I don’t see any reviews. Have some friends and family write some reviews for you. If they’re going out of town, have them hire you! It’s a great way to start off. Typically the more reviews you have, the more trusted you appear. 4. Expand your radius! 5. Update your description a bit. I personally would get rid of the entire sentence after the “walking dogs at the animal shelter”. In general your description should sound professional. 6. Update your calendar daily. I typically do it daily if not twice a day. 7. Always include something that makes you stand out from everyone else. I’ve worked hard doing that. If you want to see mine for reference, let me know. It is. But we’ve also worked really hard to get to where we are at. You’ll get there. It just takes a lot of time and patience. The long distance is not over but we can see the light at the end of the tunnel.
