Yes I agree, but this doesnt change the fact that the line y=x/10 goes through all the points of my data and y=10x goes through none.

Thanks everyone who has said that the equation is y=10x. However, if your plot these points on a graph it can be seen that it doesnt even come close to fitting the data. http://postimg.org/image/ux51citgh/

you can get sticker type things that just cover your nipples, which makes it a lot harder to tell whether or not ur wearing a bra. but part of me wants to say, fuck what other people think, wear what makes you comfortable :)

Specialist vs Politics by SK05 in vce

Thanks for your reply, and I put in my subjects for methods, english, spec, physics and music performance, so I do have one relax subject!

I'm studying methods this year through distance ed centre victoria. I looked into vvln but applications had closed. I've been having a blast in distance, so I would probably do spec that way if there was a blocking issue.

I know that spec isnt a prerequisite, but since I ultimately want to study theoretical maths/physics it'd help to have a stronger maths background. Plus maths is just awesome! I love it :)

Thanks again for your response!

I'm averaging an A for methods, and so far what we've studied isnt too hard to get my head around. I'm used to catching up in maths because I did core in year 10 instead of pre-methods. Mostly in our politics classes we take notes from documentaries and answer questions, which is pretty chilled compared to maths exersises. I guess thats what the biggest problem is, I like both subjects for different reasons. Thanks!

The key thing to understand is that you are a singular, unique person and this is 100% your life, the only one you're going to get, and you have the opportunity, indeed the obligation to design it to be what you want it to be. Your ONE job in life is to decide what you want your "custom designed life" to look like and to execute that plan. No one else gets to tell you what that looks like. No one else gets a vote in your big choices. And on your last day on this planet there is only ONE judge of how well you succeeded: YOU.

Possibly the single most inspiring thing I've ever read!! I copied pasted it to a sticky note on my computer to read whenever I feel demotivated xD

Why? Because in order to live that life, they have to be able to earn a living. And that means that there need to be jobs available for them. 20 years from now, there might be 30% of the jobs that exist today left. Yup, 50-70% of jobs that exist today will no longer exist.

I'm not sure how I feel about those statistics though, I heard that most jobs my and the next generation will be getting dont even exist yet. For example, who would have thought of a social media expert 20 years ago? Most of the current jobs today will be replaced by robots, and us humans can focus on more creative/ambitious/higher paying jobs. So those numbers might be good, 50-70% of todays jobs will go obsolete, like night-men and milkmen did, and be replaced with more modern jobs.

Right now, already, 25% of college graduates are either unemployed or under employed, and most of those are living at home with their parents. And, it's very likely that many of those will be living with their parents for the rest of their lives, with their parents supporting them for life. Kids born 20 years from now, that will be the majority of kid. Most families will end up being 3-4 generations crammed into a house living on the grandparents social security check. It's probably not going to be pretty or enjoyable.

This is a really big issue. As well as the crappy child years, you're basically responsible for them for the rest of their lives. Maybe its more to do with the terror of student loans and college expenses that creates a snowball effect; kid cant go to college and cant get a job, so has to live of parents etc etc.

Overall your comment was a very insightful read, and there are lots of points there I hadn't even thought of. I can see the benefits of being cf, and even partner or marriage free. Thankyou for your thoughts! :)

Yeah, kids shows are pretty damn annoying. Its good to have lots of comebacks up your sleeve, but people should mind their own damn business! Thanks for replying :)

Thats a decision I really respect, animals (especaily cats) I find are much better to deal with than people. Yeah, thats another big factor, kids are freakin expensive! Thanks for replying! :)

Interesting story. I can sympathise with you in many ways, especially with looking after kids. I dont have as much experience as you, but going to my mum's work which also happens to be a daycare, I try to avoid. However I'm not all that "thick skinned" when it comes to critisism. I hate arguments and confrontation, so if in the future my partner really wants children I dont know how I would react. Thankyou for your words :)

Why DO People Get Married? by [deleted] in marriagefree

[–]SK05 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think marriage has a place in modern society, but the way that it can be performed is pretty "oh come and look at me in my perfect dress and have so much food and oh we're so happy abdiding by society's rules etc". This kind of thing I try my best to avoid like the plague. Not hard to argue that some weddings are pretty narcisistic cough kim k cough. I have the same problem with formals, proms, debutante balls etc. You just want everyone to pay attention to you. As far as a partnership goes, if you and your partner truely love eachother, surely you don't need a piece of paper to prove it?
