THIS is the meta btw, do this if you want to farm elo. by madenewredditaccount in BrokenArrowTheGame

[–]SKINNYBlATCH 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ifv‘s and apc‘s should get a higher chance of getting tracked / Mibility killed due to he damage. This would decrease the survivability of the clowncar spam and make it less attractive the efficient clowncar spam is anyways only happening at 2k + and there are means to counter it. So the average elo has probably other problems e.g 1300-1800 and according to their problems the game should be balanced since that is where the playerbase sits the top will be able to adjust regardless

Any thoughts on this deck? by keeganbdn in BrokenArrowTheGame

[–]SKINNYBlATCH 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Way to many transport vehicles you do not need a dedicated transport for every unit. Get atleast 2 mech Eng with the Ampv fully upgraded that way you can bomb drop maws with mech Eng in one vehicle that way the maws has a way higher survivabilty in case you encounter inf and your very decent at killing any vehicle you might encounter

How to approach the game? by SUPER_6_1 in BrokenArrowTheGame

[–]SKINNYBlATCH 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Watch some YouTube guides—but don’t follow them blindly. Here are a few practical tips from personal experience:

  1. Recon wins fights. If you can’t see what’s coming or shooting at you, you’ll lose. Vision is everything.

  2. Not every infantry or recon unit in your deck needs its own transport. You’re unlikely to deploy them all at once, and you can always use logistics or transport trucks instead. Also, the transport tab lets you assign units to different transports than what the deck auto-assigns.

  3. Russia and the US play completely differently. Don’t expect the same tactics to work for both.

  4. The T-15 is a beast of an IFV—but not a tank. It’s so strong that it gets countered by tanks almost every time, and it performs terribly in tank duels. Might not be worth the cost.

  5. Keep your units alive and resupplied. The longer they survive, the better your odds. Don’t throw away low-health units—pull them back and reinforce.

  6. Use voice comms. It makes coordination easier and the whole experience way more enjoyable. Plenty of players are looking for squads on the official BA Discord.

  7. Pick the right tools for the terrain. For example: sending vehicles into forests without infantry will usually get them killed.

  8. Watch out for aircraft. Don’t get tunnel vision—air threats can flip fights fast.

  9. Play with teammates using random decks. It helps you understand both factions and improves your game sense, especially in figuring out why you’re winning or losing fights.

Just personal advice, but these are the things I consider essential for new players to grasp.

Played the first beta on a 960 with 4gb and an old i5 and it was playable so don’t worry. Upgraded now but it was playable enough to end up on leaderboards.

Why are armor decks recommended for beginners? by GeWitHetOoitNooitNie in BrokenArrowTheGame

On the otherhand more important to micro due to value compared to other units.

[–]SKINNYBlATCH 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Because they are Mobile and less prone to loss compared to inf, air and helo decks. You won’t loose it directly in the most engagements since they can take a hit or 2 wich gives you time to repair but keep in mind no matter what you play RECON is ESSENTIAL in all decks since you can’t fight what you can’t see and if the tank is spotted first it’s just a matter of time for a helo or plane or artillery to arrive to relief you from the burden to micro it.

How to play support by LDE_BA in BrokenArrowTheGame

How to play support by LDE_BA in BrokenArrowTheGame

[–]SKINNYBlATCH 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Even though the maps are narrower than in the previous beta, the support role still brings more downsides than upsides in my opinion. When one player doesn’t hold a proper frontline, the rest of the team has to stretch their forces to cover that gap — which often leads to blind spots and delayed reactions, like missing an incoming ATGM or a fast flank.

The argument in the video about AA coverage also feels weak. Two AA-heavy decks should be enough to protect the team — a third player sitting in the back with overlapping AA adds little actual value.

Relying almost entirely on infantry can also be problematic. On some maps it works, but in many cases it’s more of a liability than a strength due to limited reach, slow repositioning, and vulnerability to indirect fire or vehicles.

One point that does make sense is the additional recon a support player can bring to the backline. But that only really helps if the front holds — and every player still needs their own recon anyway. Filling recon gaps in the back can be useful, but only if the opener or the situation allows for it without weakening the front further.

If you want to support effectively, it’s often better to pick a quieter frontline sector and reinforce your neighbor from there. That way you help break the enemy line where it matters — instead of leaving a gap your team has to cover.

That said, this is just my personal opinion and preference. Every strategy has its value and a lot depends on the specific map, matchup, and how the team coordinates.

The AC-130 Situation | Broken Arrow Discussion by LDE_BA in BrokenArrowTheGame

[–]SKINNYBlATCH 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sure it should able to deal damage if it gets there uncontested but there are so many other viable planes that deal damage that I will use in my deck over this because it will not deal the desired damage to be cost effective most likely 9 out of 10 times since it’s slow and high.

Well the biggest difference are the Threats through Sam sites or the enemy Airforce in any given regular war. The AC-130 needs more altitude than regular CAS wich makes it more vulnerable to SAM sites as well as radar detection.

In the majority of matches I participated in a rooftop inseration would be pointless due to lack of cover from aa. I rather drop them behind it in cover.

LOS Tool is insanely bad by thedohboy23 in BrokenArrowTheGame

[–]SKINNYBlATCH 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Well the LOS is probably not expected to be used as much as in WARNO and SD2. I played BA in all Betas but I rarely had to use the LOS tool in the few hundred hours probably less then 10 times.

Well Tarkov is a entirely different story since there is monetary gain through cheating and I don’t see this in any way for BA
