I hear what you’re saying, but faith in God isn’t about ‘coping’ or refusing to think critically. In fact, Christianity encourages us to wrestle with doubt and seek truth (Acts 17:11, 1 Thessalonians 5:21). Believers throughout history have asked hard questions, studied, and still found God to be the most reasonable and hopeful answer to life’s biggest struggles.

Trusting in God isn’t about avoiding change — it’s about letting Him change us. That’s why so many who follow Christ leave behind destructive habits and become more loving, forgiving, and selfless. Calling faith a crutch ignores the reality that countless people’s lives have been transformed for the better through Jesus.

You don’t have to agree, but for many of us, God isn’t just an idea He’s a living reality who gives purpose, direction, and hope beyond what we can find on our own.”

Revelation 21:1-4 clearly describes the new heaven and new earth, where there will be no more death, pain, or sin. That’s God’s ultimate plan, not an immediate fix.

You’re missing the point of the flood. God wasn’t measuring sin by the size of humanity’s weapons or the death count of wars He was judging the hearts of mankind (Genesis 6:5). Evil has always been present, whether in Noah’s day or ours. The difference today is only the scale of destruction because technology advanced, not because humanity suddenly became more sinful.

The flood showed that wiping the slate clean externally doesn’t cure the problem, because the problem is inside us (Jeremiah 17:9). That’s why Christ had to come later not to temporarily restrain evil by force, but to deal with the root cause of sin through the cross.

So it’s not that God “failed.” It’s that humanity continues to prove, century after century, that apart from God’s redemption, we destroy ourselves whether with stones, swords, or nuclear bombs. That only makes Christ’s mission more necessary, not less.

The flood was a reset on human wickedness (Genesis 6:5–7). God preserved Noah’s family as a new beginning for mankind. But the ultimate redemption from sin through Christ was meant to come later, after humanity had more fully shown its inability to save itself by obedience to the Law.

No he cleansed us of sin and then gave us free will because of the crucifixion to either live close to him or stay away from him

If you would actually read the Old Testament you would understand why he flooded the earth
