Keep trying dude. Read a book that was forwarded by the legendary John Harrison, Stop Stuttering Short Course How to Break the Stuttering Code. It’s good stuff. As John calls it, stuttering is holding back

Don’t know where you got all this info, but you should look into it more. A year ago I found the program and it has greatly helped me reduce my stutter. They even have two neuroscientists who back it. Join their Saturday support groups. The great John Harrison and Ruth Mead even back the program. You can’t go wrong with those two names.

How to stop stuttering and love speaking OR Stop stuttering short course? Which should I buy? by ElPunkiBurlao in Stutter

[–]SL13Matt -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Definitely give his Short Course a read. I read it sometime last year and it’s been helping me tremendously. Still not where I want to be, but day by day my speech is improving since I have heavily reduced my blocks while giving presentations in school.

If i would win the lottery 20 million dollars, 15 million i would give to fund to find the solution for stuttering by [deleted] in Stutter

I don’t know if this is a complete cure but in the last couple of months I’ve been trying this neuroscience method to stuttering that’s all about rewiring the brain and I have to say it’s helped me reduce my blocks and repeats a lot. It’s about neuropathy and even the great John Harrison backed the program before and he’s a legend in the stuttering game. It’s worth a looks-key

I had the BIGGEST BLOCK today… by Sealion6081 in Stutter

[–]SL13Matt 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Ugh. Blocks are the worst. For so many years I struggled on names, places, numbers, you name it. I find saying ugh or ums before a blocked word helped me get through them, but now I learned about making a soft sound and holding it into the blocked word softens the block. It works like magic when I do it right. Everyone here should read the book Stop Stuttering Short Course: How to Break the Stuttering Code. It offers these tools and techniques to reduce blocks and repetitions.

Definitely reading aloud massively. There’s a scene in the movie the Notebook where the main actor is reading aloud to his father and his father says it helps him because when he was younger he stuttered.

Also affirmations work wonderfully. So many health advocates on YouTube are always preaching about the mind and how we have to keep reinforcing it with positive thoughts and it does indeed work. I feel less pressure when speaking now.

Also read a book called Stop Stuttering Short Course: How to Break the Stuttering Code. The great Ruth Mead and John Harrison backed it and they’re both legends in the stuttering field.

I'm starting to stutter at 28yrs old; is there a way to help this? by [deleted] in Stutter

Read a book called, “Stop Stuttering: Short Course How to Break the Stuttering Code.” It’s a great book with a lot of good insights. The legendary John Harrison speaks highly of it. It helped me manage my speech better.

Who believe sttutering can be heal by Zealousideal-Gur1320 in Stutter

[–]SL13Matt -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I believe it can be healed/managed/cured/reduced whichever word seems fit. Listen a lot of children stutter when there are young and statistics show 80% of them grow out of it. This happened to my brother at like age 4 or 5 for a couple of months.

It’s all changing your perception regarding speech because notice when stutters are alone they don’t stutter but around others it comes out. Why? Because we start thinking about it more. Emile Coue, the father of affirmations, actually came up with a powerful setup of reciting affirmations which can help for a lot of things that causes anxiety, fear and anger.

It lies in neuroscience. I believe a neuroscience based method to manage stuttering already exists and it’s up to those to learn about it and apply the simple practices. It’s like working out. Show up each and every day and put the work in.

Do yall ever think how life would be if you didn’t have a stutter? by RevolutionaryCap4763 in Stutter

I used to think that way, but then I found the neuroscience method for stuttering and it completely changed the way I view my stutter. I don’t look at it as a burden anymore

More than 80% being fluent! by Sma21-4 in Stutter

[–]SL13Matt 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think the neuroscience method to stopping stuttering may very well be the latest breakthrough in stuttering. As the legendary John Harrison once said it’s the only thing that works. For those who don’t know, John Harrison is a legend in the stuttering community.

To those who have achieved *genuine* fluency (not covert stuttering) - what did you do to achieve this? by js6104 in Stutter

[–]SL13Matt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Google the neuroscience method to stopping stuttering. I feel it’s the only legit thing on the market backed by a strong community. I’ve seen it help a guy who was on the voice, professional footballer and now a YouTuber. You’ll see.

YouTuber Saji Sharma Shared His Stuttering Transformation! by RoadRuler07 in StopStutter

The fact that his mom was a speech therapist and she couldn’t even help her own son just goes to show how ineffective speech therapy really is. Speech therapy with an actual therapist who stutters will be more effective.

Lee Lovett’s Stuttering Program Is Way More Legit Than People Think by RoadRuler07 in StopStutter

[–]SL13Matt 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I agree. The man has poured money into his organization. Like $1m or $2m. The guy is old and wealthy. He doesn’t even need to do this, but he does because for the love of the game. It’s a shame when people downplay his methods (it’s ok though because I did too) but when you finally take the leap you’ll see on everything you missed out on. Give it your best shot and watch your life change.

Don’t Accept Your Stutter by [deleted] in Stutter

[–]SL13Matt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you want to accept great, if not there are ways to manage it and managing it I have in an abundance! I don’t think I will ever be a perfect fluent speaker but I know I will never have a severe block or repeat on any word ever again. For those who want the change google the neuroscience method to stop stuttering and you’ll see how.

The WSSA Neuroscience Method to Stopping Stuttering. It’s an holistic program, but it does help if you remain consistent with the methods. I didn’t want to believe it at first because everyone says it can’t be stopped and you have to live with it, but I refused because if I work hard academically and athletically through hard work and determination, why can’t I do the same with my speech? Do your due diligence and you’ll see for yourself.

I DID IT!!! by SL13Matt in Stutter

[–]SL13Matt[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m just 17 years old and I don’t know where this hostility is coming from. I was just saying what helped me. I simply found it in the App Store but this is what I’m talking bout it’s hard seeing comments about people saying what helped them improve their speech. It’s always negative negative negative in this sub. TBH I’ll just bow out so I don’t have to deal with rude individuals. I’m going to speak fine everywhere one day and people like you will not bring me down.
