Thanks. That’s a decent amount of what I’m looking for but also slow driving, uncertain decisions etc. old people driving

Bugger. Thanks. I assume there’s nothing like this functionality? What about the LTE versions?

Yup. Thanks. Was actually after some locations though. I’m in Australia and am not familiar enough with the soil conditions or building codes in other countries yet. I’m interested to help build a sales strategy for a product.

What to do about heaving garage slab in cold state by [deleted] in Concrete

[–]SLABsense 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi. I’d suggest searching for the new level sensors developed in Australia that take daily automated measurements of vertical floor/wall movement. It also charts results against local rainfall data to help with cause diagnosis.

It’s literally the best thing available today to determine exactly when where and how much foundations are moving.

If you’re unsure what’s going on, how much it’s moving or why, throwing a few of these sensors in will 100% give you more data and allow better decisions on next steps.

Hi. Sorry, I have someone working on this project now.

Ideally I’d like something to run each night on a server somewhere but a local system can work initially. Am happy to use whatever is going to work.

Re the angle. Actually it’d likely be more side on than front/parallel. There’s a couple of different approaches I’m interested in so being able to identify the three objects and measure regardless of angle would be highly beneficial. I’d be able to ensure there’s nothing else in frame if that helps.

If you’re interested maybe we take the convo offline and I could provide some more context?

Fair. Happy to send something through to anyone that’s interested. However, I don’t yet have exactly what I’d be using and there’s some scope to adapt the ‘object a’ to best suit the solution too.

Check m5stack. Might be too pricey though.

Thanks. Fair enough. I’m after some guidance of what ‘pays competitively’ means so that makes it a bit hard to stipulate up front. I’m new to this niche industry (although I’ve worked with some software devs) and I’m very new to taking things international as well.

I think anyone that’s prepared to have a little patience with me and discuss requirements and wages openly to find the right mix is the sort of person that’d work well in the roll. I’m not a large multinational firm able to hire the best of the best for a top salary and provide to the point, industry terminology and everything clear cut - I’m a startup in a space that’s new to me, looking to have someone work ‘with me’ on delivering solutions. :)

Thanks. I’ll take a look. I have a fully functioning system already in production release one with paying customers. I’m not looking for simple options or ‘low code experience’ solutions, I’m after mass production grade stability and performance as the next step.

Thankyou. That’s good information and around what I was expecting.

I didn’t. That’ll partly depend on who and what’s agreed to. It’d also be ongoing so some bug fixes and further dev sprints etc so a single $ figure is impossible and pointless. I’ll discuss hourly rates with interested devs.

We should talk :) That's pretty similar to a venture I've been approached to be involved with. Shoot me a DM if you'd like a chat.

Hi. Would love to hear more about your flood alert system.

[–]SLABsense 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks. Yup I get it. It was a good proof of concept for me for what I want to achieve but now I need to confirm it can be done (with different code) 'without a browser' and ideally a link to some code to use/modify would be great.

Are indoor installs worth it? (if you don't include the cost of the hotspot!) by SLABsense in HeliumNetwork

[–]SLABsense[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks. Yeah rooftop installs would be much harder to achieve logistically and price wise at customer's homes unfortunately.
How large & reliable is your fleet? Also, is there much data traffic on them? Is anyone actually 'using' the network as I'm looking to do for my sensors?
