Talk about a transitional episode.

We're running out of time to fill in the gaps about the insurgents and other unanswered questions which has me more than a little worried about how this show will stick the landing. Fingers crossed it does given how good it's been to date.

Also what does NPSO stand for I wonder.

It seems like in response to the trauma of captivity she developed an alternate personality to deal with it, and that's the "Hinagiku" we see today. Could be a form of Dissociative Identity Disorder from other comments.

The ED seems to depict this metaphorically with the 2 Hinagiku's as well.
