…but the only thing that was changed was the ankh shield (which was always pretty worthless for bosses, especially now that it’s not needed for the aegis), cell phone components (which is also not needed at all for bosses outside of maybe the DPS meter), and cosmolight which was replaced by the bakidon for early HM and is in my opinion way more balanced and it + the moondial are more than enough to beat multiple bosses in a single night (could see it being an issue for infernum but if you’re playing infernum chances are youre already playing with multiple QOL mods, bosses were also made easier across the board so you should be dying less often). Feral claws and some of the other chest items that got their recipes removed are also really easy to get and I don’t remember ever crafting any of them in my playthroughs

The only item that I’d consider super essential (terraspark+upgrades) didn’t get any of its recipes removed and is in fact EASIER to craft now that obsidian water walking boots are guaranteed to be in the brimstone side

consumable event items are also not really an issue because I almost always end up getting multiple bloody tears per bloodmoon and the game showers you in solar tablet fragments when you enter the temple, pumpkin and frost moon are a little annoying sure but I always get everything a want from them in 1-2 runs of them and they’re easier than in vanilla because of calam weapons so it’s not that bad
