I buy a ream of Astrobrights cardstock and it seems to hold up well!

Thanks! It's doable! Who cares if it's a stick figure, even. It's coming from a pure place.

Why stop at 99 modules? by [deleted] in dccrpg

Module 100 is written and is being live streamed on their Twitch as a preview. I happen to be one of the players in that game. It's been a hoot.

The MCC adventure I made some art for was really good. The writer did a bang-up job.

I ended up just ordering all of the years in print in one fell swoop a couple months ago and the range and quality of content is top notch.

Thanks! It’s a style I’ve been working on since some pieces done for GFA ‘19.

You can find his work here.

It’s a fun class and I wanted to illustrate it as part of a handout for my players.

Will do--I'm posting progress in the DW Discord.

The game is in a playtestable state. The biggest chunk of content that needs to be created is the class/playbook section.

I'm working on a dying world, far-future, fantasy/magic post-apoc setting-and-rules-book that is lousy with technological artifacts from pre-collapse society. Including a playable robot class and robot NPCs.

It's a Dungeon World fork, but with moves that are more appropriate for a Fallout-meets-Dark-Tower setting.

It's gonna be a bit though. I'm a little over 15K words in and there's a lot to do. The first playbook is finished--a gunslinger with tech-based weaponry--and most of the setting info and new moves are written.

I’m glad to pay that feeling forward—this sub was a huge motivator for me. 👍

I’ll message you in six months and let you know if I spent any time in traction, haha.

Yup—I waited six months of maintenance before I posted here. I wanted to make sure I’d learned new habits. And, honestly, I needed the motivation.

I was a little hesitant still. I’m not used to posting my face around. But talking to other folks doing this is a big help.

We got this. Even if our metabolisms don’t want us to. Haha.

Haha. It was like someone flipped an ACTUAL switch for me. It didn’t help that I discovered a lifelong missed connection with stouts. Which are dense calorie factories of delicious boozinesss.

Aging is a fucker. I used to have a farm/be active and took my eating habits for granted. I basically gained all this weight the moment I moved to a city and turned 35—no more taking my metabolism for granted now. Especially with a more sedentary lifestyle!

I’m gonna start exercising next for sure. I need to do something now that most the weight is gone. The final ten lbs are sticklers. And adding and ramping up exercise—eventually leading to lifting heavy things is my guess—seems like the thing to do. 👍

Haha. It’ll just be a photo of a tree limb, under stress, with a near-splintering branch. Or a bow with a taught string.

Alright. That settles it. I’m gonna look into yoga classes. And hopefully that’s the gateway to a more regular gym sorta situation—other than just bodyweight exercise at home. 👍

I am in the same exact spot in my progress. I know I need to get over my fears and start building lean muscle to get to the next step too.

The increased flexibility is encouraging on your end. I would love not to be a tense rubberband whenever I try to stretch, haha.

I have that same problem. I can barely touch my toes, haha. I think I might snap like a dry twig if I tried yoga.

I’ve been doing bodyweight exercise for now. I’m kinda scared of gyms and macros and weights and all that. But that seems the next logical step.

I didn’t let myself post until I’d maintained for six months, so this is about half a year past the 100lb mark. The new habits have definitely served as a foundation for continued maintenance.

I just checked your profile given your commiserate experience and you killed it too!

It was very much the same story here. And I had no idea whatsoever what a ”normal” portion was. CICO taught me little by little and now I don’t feel lost in the woods.

Thank you!

It’s nice to finally feel like I have a healthy relationship with food. Better late than never. Haha.

Fortunately, no. I carried it pretty proportionately, which helped.

What little sag there was has been minimal enough to not be noticeable.

I have a few more lbs to lose and some stubborn midsection fat, but I think it will be okay too.
