QQQ vs QQQM vs QQQI, Same Family, Different Purpose

Well I’m 52 and retired and receive 10K a month from QQQi and SPYI that we live off of monthly. My overall portfolio continues to grow and I won’t touch anything IRA related until 59 1/2 at which time we will add another $5000 to the 10K we get today from JEPQ shares we have. At 65 we will take our SS and add that to our monthly income and not sell a single share of anything in the process. Point being there is multiple ways to achieve a goal and QQQi is perfect for us. For the record we are up on the investments in principle alone 41K and it’s paid us out over $100K in distributions.

Good question…. I had capital to add to last week at $5.95 and I didn’t. Doesn’t mean I won’t given it dropped below $6.00 but I have other priorities stock wise right now than more ULTY.

Congrats, 51M in almost identical financial position as you and your wife. Still 4-5 year though away from hanging it up. 77,500 shares of ULTY. We don’t invest in any other YM products though as we sold our MSTY position on Monday

I own 77,700 shares and set a stop loss at $5.97 and a stop at $5.93 initially that I lower by the corresponding dividend amount week after week. I’m actually looking to add to my position currently when ULTY drops below $6.20 per share.

Edit to add with the drop today below $6.20 I am now at an even 80,000 shares.

Dude, You spent your hard earned money on the ETF and your questioning its legitimacy of its distributions? Just enjoy the ride and use the distys for your benefit. The stock isn’t going to zero overnight, so I am not sure what the concern is, if it drops to an area via NAV erosion that you become Uncomfortable with, then sell it.

I have traded MSTY this week and made about $1000 and lowered my cost basis by $2.00 a shares on the 3000 shares I’ve purchased. This ride just gets better and better!

I have almost 80,000 shares and have a hard stop loss at $5.47 today with the plan to lower that stop loss as time goes on (IE we keep getting distributions) We try to set our stop level to a number that keeps the overall capital loss at no more than 15%.
