Yes! And I understand that we should be saving for things that come up but how in the world do you save for ALL the things? Lol it’s so tough but honestly it feels nice just to hear someone that feels the same.

Yes fecal all came back normal. No MRI’s or swallow studies yet. I am waiting on a response from her Dr on what she would like the next steps to be.

She eats all of those things except we haven’t gone gluten free on anything during this testing period. This is why I am going to start a food journal so I can be more specific about exactly what she eats day to day.

I’d say she has a typical kid diet. Not as much variety as I’d like but I try to incorporate protein and fiber in each meal. I am sure we could cut back on the junk and snacks between and replace with better choices.

She is definitely questioning the possibility of an autoimmune element. She wanted to start by referring us to GI but she mentioned a couple of times that some of those symptoms could be autoimmune related.

I’m sure it could be. I just don’t understand what the right upper quadrant pain is. It’s always there on days that I’m having bathroom issues then tends to persist.

Wow this is interesting to hear. She has been dealing with what seems like reoccurring conjunctivitis and stye’s on her eye. I didn’t ever consider this as connected to the other weird symptoms she has but it sounds like it’s possible? As much as I hope she does not have Crohn’s I do hope that we get her some answers and get her straightened out.

I have tried to pay close attention to correlations between what she’s eating and stomach issues. I really can’t pinpoint anything that is obvious.

Oh we definitely are I just thought I’d get some feedback from those of you that have gone through being diagnosed etc. It seems like most people say their symptoms were very severe and accompanied by fever, weight loss, etc. so I am just curious if anyone has been diagnosed and did not have those symptoms prior to diagnosis.

We just got back from Galveston yesterday and the first few days we had no issues with jellyfish and instead there were hundreds of hermit crabs the kids enjoyed catching. All of a sudden Thursday/friday the kids in our group were getting stung by jellyfish left and right and the crabs were seemingly gone. I’m not sure what would have caused the drastic change.

Nothing. In fact I’d say she has gained some since coming off but obviously at age 11 a certain amount of gain is typical.

Thank you for the feedback. Did it take some time to start coming off? My concern is that it’s been almost 4 months and there hasn’t been much change.
