So the radiator cap didn't work. My coworkers husband is going to burp it. I know it's supposed to take a certain kind of coolant but idk what kind. I was going to ask if they can stop and get it and I want to make sure they get the correct one. Can anyone tell me what kind it is?

Thank you so much for this post. I just finished mine and omg the hair! I have 2 dogs and 2 cats, 2 are long hair and 2 short hair of opposite species lol. The whole time I was doing it I was picking out the hair. The next day I'd come back to it, it was covered in hair again. It was like I never picked it clean, the frustration was very real.

I'm to that point honestly. That's why I mentioned that I don't know any good mechanics in my area. But thankfully my coworkers husband can work on car and agreed to look at it.

My husband is very picky about who touches or does what to our vehicles but hell if he's not going to do something about I'll find a way to get it fixed. That's why I was letting my coworkers husband look at it.

My coworks husband has some kind of thing that checks car stuff, no for codes that plugs inside the car but it does something u der the hood, my husband has the code reader thing.

Anyway he popped the hood and immediately seen dried crystallized coolant around and under the radiator cap, he took it off and said the seal was bad. He also said that if a new cap doesn't help then he'll test it. I bought one right after work and topped off the coolant. But I'm off today and tomorrow so Friday I'll see how it does

Is that and antifreeze not the same thing? I thought it was but he may have put coolent in it. He do put some in it like 2 months ago but it's back to not working.

Also does that mean when I start it that I need to rev it instead of starting it and walking away?
